  Added extra quality settings with Vsync on/off

• Minor patch/update for Display Settings. - 9 June 2026

  **Updated the display resolution script: settings now display correctly, without duplicates and with proper formatting. **Important: Due to changes in the code architecture, players who have previously launched the game may experience the resolution resetting to the lowest value on the first launch after this update. Simply open «Settings» in the main menu once and set your preferred resolution back. This does not affect new players. **Fixed several minor bugs. Core gameplay and content remain unchanged.

• The Game is Up! - 24 February 2026

  The Rift Rebels are officially out on Steam! And yes, I launched a bit ahead of schedule — sometimes things just come together faster than planned! When creating this game, I drew heavy inspiration from classic side-scrolling action games of the 16-bit era. Specifically, the Sega Genesis (Mega Drive) — one of my all-time favorite consoles. The soundtrack was crafted with that same inspiration. I aimed to capture the iconic sounds and atmosphere of the Sega era, blending them with a modern twist. If you love classic gameplay, and a touch of nostalgia, I hope you'll like the game!

• The Rift Rebels Coming Soon - 6 February 2026

  Hey everyone!The Rift Rebels is finally coming to Steam.I plan to release the game around February 27th.This is actually the 4th game I made, but my second Steam release.Unlike the previous one (Terminal Breach: Final Dawn), which was my take on classic FPS, The Rift Rebels is a side-scrolling action game.My main inspirations were side-scrolling action games from the SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive era — some of my favorites like Doom Troopers, Alien 3, and a bit of Shinobi.Even for the music, this time I used emulation of 16-bit SEGA sounds, so hopefully you’ll like the soundtrack too.
