Short description
After your mother’s strange funeral, a black rain blocks the roads and leaves you stranded. The air smells like rotting fruit and nature begins to mutate. Can you get out of here before the forest finds you?
About this game
About This Game Will returns to Awakewood to bury his mother and sell the family home before the next bus arrives. Instead, he finds an isolated town under endless rain and a forest creeping over the edge of the property. The night before leaving, Will finds a girl with no memory tangled in roots and mud. The house does not keep the outside away: it rots alongside everyone inside it. The dread of living together It all begins in the daily routine: sitting down to eat with a stranger pulled from the mud, noticing she never feels cold, and dealing with her strange behavior as she does whatever it takes to keep you from leaving her behind. Three ways to tell the story What the screen hides, the sound reveals; what the sound leaves unsaid, Will’s mind tries to work out. The visuals show the house breaking down, the audio tracks whatever moves in the dark, and Will’s thoughts follow a practical man trying to keep things in order so he doesn't have to face what is right in front of him. Four endings: who pays No affection meters, no pop-up stats. The story shifts based on how you treat her: whether you help her live like a person or let her slip back into the woods. Four separate endings where nobody wins cleanly, and someone always has to pay the price of not being alone. The town clock The bus passes every Thur…
