  • Deck in 1995 - 23 December 2022

In December 2022, Steam Deck was finally released in Japan, and I was able to get my own Deck. I tested "Back in 1995" on the Deck, but there are a few tricks to set it up, so I would like to share some tips with everyone. Unfortunately, it is not possible to update the game because it is very difficult to reconstruct the old development environment, but you can play the game comfortably if you follow the following steps. First, after starting the game and when the opening scene is finished, press the Y button to open the menu screen and use LB/RB to enter the system screen. We strongly recommend using the D-pad instead of the analog stick to control the characters in this title. While playing with Steam Deck, you can play with D-pad by setting the "DS4_Dpad" to the Move Axis on the system screen. After changing the Move Axis setting, the Enter key must be entered. In the case of using…

  • Special Summer Sale Bundle! - 25 June 2020

A celebration of gaming history, indie style! Experience a stage-based platformer in the style of the 8-bit greats, a story-driven Metroidvania with a distinctly 16-bit flair, a loving tribute to early 3D survival horror experiences from the 32-bit era, and a more modern 64-bit throwback to all of the above. In true nostalgia fashion, these aren’t actually 8-, 16-, or 32-bit, but rather representations of the way we all remember games from those eras to be. So put on your rose-colored glasses and pajamas, grab a bowl of cereal, and transport yourself back to a simpler time in gaming! We've prepared a special summer sale bundle "Console Generations" for all Back in 1995 fans. You will be able to purchase the following games that have a wide variety of shooters for an additional 20% OFF, on top of the individual game discounts! https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/15372/Console_Generatio…

  • The Long Awaited 'Survival Update’! - 7 November 2017

The Survival Update, as its name suggests, is not DLC, but an update to the game itself. Mac Compatibility Up until the update to the Steam SDK in July, the way Big Picture worked meant we were unable to offer a Mac version, but that's all changed now. Sorry to keep all the Mac owners waiting, but it's finally here. Price Change Back in 1995 is currently $7.99 as part of the Degica Sale this week, but once this is finished, we'll be changing the price to $9.99. English Voices Voices have been added to the in-game cut scenes. Additional Hard Mode + Overall Rebalancing Ichijo-san reviewed and changed the fixed animation frames for the player character and hit detection, which is why this is no longer just an added mode, but an update to the entire game. This is why that while system data is backwards compatible, save data is not. So even those of you who finished the game in a previous ve…
