âWhen the wells of the Atlas mountains run dry, a young shepherd follows the moonâs reflection into the depths belowâŚâ Amalu is a mystical, atmospheric pixel-art 2D Metroidvania platformer inspired by Amazigh and North African folklore. âAmaluâ is a Tamazight word meaning âshadow,â âreflection,â or âsymbol.â Itâs a concept rooted in Amazigh storytelling, a word often tied to memory, spirit, and the things that remain even when everything else fades.
