- Dwarf Guild Mania: Dev Talk February - 23 February 2026
Welcome to Dev Talk, our weekly update and sneak peak into what is in store for Dwarf Guild Mania. Here's a look into some of our big additions this week.Productivity & Efficiency of MinesMines and constructed buildings that produce resources such as gems, gold, or grunts (the Big Three G's) are affected by the efficiency metric. This is calculated based on a number of factors but the biggest of these is manpower. With no dwarves to work the mines, where will the gems come from? You can boost your efficiency to a maximum of 100% by ensuring your buildings are fully staffed but you can also take a number of other actions such as choosing doctrines that affect just that building or choosing certain ideologies that affect your guild as a whole. In this example the player has built 2 mines, a ruby mine and an opal mine. This ruby mine is fully staffed with grunts and has 100% efficiency, me…
- Why Dwarf Guild Mania Is About Economic Warfare, Not Combat - 29 January 2026
Most strategy games solve conflict with bigger armies.Dwarf Guild Mania does it with gold.Instead of direct combat, rival dwarf guilds compete by:Manipulating marketsSabotaging infrastructureDispatching spiesExploiting economic weaknessEvery map is procedurally generated, and the economy reacts to player behavior, including yours.Flood the market with gems? Prices crash. Ignore rivals? They won’t ignore you.We wanted a game where:Decisions have long-term consequencesEnemies adapt instead of following scriptsEconomic pressure feels as dangerous as combatIf that sounds like your kind of strategy game, we’d love to hear your thoughts, and your worst economic betrayal stories.Wishlist Dwarf Guild Mania to follow development and be notified at launch.
