  Friendly Fire achievement now unlocks from any VS battle with a friend We expanded the Friendly Fire challenge so it now counts in all three ways you might battle a friend: Inviting a friend to VS through the Friends screen Joining or hosting an Endless room with a friend Getting paired with a friend in regular Ranked matchmaking If you have battled a friend in any of these modes before and have not received the challenge, finishing one more match with a friend will register it. Important note on Ranked pairings When you happen to get matched against a friend in Ranked, the match still plays out as a full Ranked match. Your ELO will change as normal and you get full coins. The only thing that changes is the Friendly Fire challenge counter ticks up.   Pre-fight battle screen countdown The 3-2-1-GO countdown has moved from the VS matchup screen to the battle screen itself. You now see your portrait, opponent, HP bars, and the first sentence in their final positions before the action starts. Music holds during the countdown so the GO! beep is the cue to start typing. What changed VS matchup screen is now a 2 second cinematic only. No countdown numbers there. The 3-2-1-GO! plays as an overlay on top of the live battle UI. Typing is locked during the countdown so a stray keypress will not register. Music starts the moment GO! fires. Pause and quit are blocked during the countdown to prevent accidental aborts. Online VS sync GO! still fires at the same server timestamp on both players, just like before. The visible numbers are a local cue.
