Fire illuminates. Shadow consumes. Hearth & Shadow - is a card-based strategy game where you develop your settlement and defend it from monster invasions. Try different card combinations from the recipe book, unlock new buildings and outposts, or upgrade existing ones, and monitor your settlement's and defense's stats to defeat the monsters and save the human settlement! The gameplay is based on card combinations The gameplay of the game is based on cards, and every decision you make is a combination of cards. Cards are divided into types: materials, technologies, bonuses, actions (weapons), events, and buildings/outposts. Combinations of cards are used to build new buildings in the settlement and outposts, which affect population, food, and defense indicators. Additionally, some cards directly affect indicators, such as bonuses and negative events. Negative events can be responded to with action cards, which can also be combined with each other. Settlement and Outposts The game features decks for the settlement and its own decks for defense (outposts). In the settlement, you must monitor the population and food, and in the outposts, you must monitor the number of monsters and the defense value. Outposts are needed to protect the settlement from monsters. The higher the defense, the less often monsters will attack. Recipe Book A large number of recipes opens up many options for developing your settlement and building a strategy for protecting yourself from monsters. In the game, there is a recipe book where you can find any recipe and view the chain of obtaining the desired card in detail. You are a ray of light in this world of darkness.
