  • Hotfix 1.2.1 DEMO Build - Starter Belt Tradeskill Fix - 20 June 2026

Attention runners,We've just pushed a quick hotfix to the Apocalypse: The Hunger (Demo) to address a bug many of you reported when trying to forge early-game gear.🛠️ Bug Fixes & UpdatesStarter Equipment Upgrade Fix: Resolved an issue where attempting to upgrade the Standard NCU belt (belt_basic) at the Tradeskill menu would fail and throw an "Item not found" error, despite having the required resources.Technical details for the curious: This was caused by a strict data-type mismatch in the backend. Starting gear was being generated with a numeric ID, while the Tradeskill UI was passing a string ID when dragging and dropping. Dropped loot already used string IDs, which is why everything else worked fine. The Anvil's logic has been rewritten to safely recognize all item IDs regardless of their origin.Your starting gear can now be successfully upgraded into a black-market masterpiece alon…

  • Patch 1.2.3: Critical Hit Fixes & Healing Overhaul! - 14 June 2026

Hey everyone!First off, a huge thank you to the community for your detailed bug reports. Many of you noticed that certain stat-boosting cards weren't quite packing the punch they were supposed to. We've spent the last few days digging into the combat engine, and we're excited to bring you Patch 1.2.3, which completely overhauls and fixes the Critical Hit mechanics! Here is what's new and fixed in today's update:🐛 Bug FixesThe "Voided Stat" Crit Bug is Squashed! We found an issue in the effect resolver where CRIT_CHANCE and CRIT_MULT buffs weren't being parsed correctly by the engine. This was causing these stats to act like "voided stats" during combat. This parsing logic has been completely rebuilt. Cards like Money Shot, Scope, and Rangefinder will now accurately apply their Crit Chance and Crit Multiplier buffs exactly as intended.Attack/Buff Sequencing Fixed:Previously, cards that d…

  • Patch 1.2.1 Hotfix - Champion & Boss Unique Scaling Fix - 7 June 2026

Hey Runners,We're deploying a quick hotfix today (Patch 1.2.1) to address a frustrating issue regarding Tradeskill upgrades, specifically affecting the high-tier loot dropped by Champions and Bosses. What was broken?Previously, if you took a high-risk/high-reward unique item—like the Blood-Iron Matrix or the Omnipath Core—to the Tradeskill menu, upgrading the item wouldn't properly update its stats. You would spend your hard-earned Obsidian and Crystal, the item would level up in name, but your Max HP, NCU, and Resistances wouldn't visually change on the item tooltips or in your character sheet.Because it takes a serious grind to push these base items from +1 to +2 and beyond, seeing no stat payoff was a massive letdown. What’s fixed in 1.2.1?We have completely overhauled the stat-scaling engine in the background.Dynamic Stat Scaling: Now, when you hit those new upgrade thresholds (e.g.,…

You can also return to the Start Screen from the Main Menu now.I also fixed the jankiness from defeats, before you would rip and didn't know what happened, hence the jank. I've added a blur and perish state to the defeats so it indicates exactly what happened. So you don't have to guess what happened. You just know it happened.

  • Hotfix #1 Item Display Bug. - 19 February 2026

Just a quick Hotfix #1 at fixing the visual display bug on some implant items that drop from defeated units.I made an edit before I launched the game and I shouldn't have done that, since it broke some visual icons for some early implants you can drop in the early game. This won't fix the current display of the visual bugs but after you patch up, all new games should be fixed for that display issue.

Short description

We clapped the Minion Meta. No armies to manage. No 1/1 tokens to trade. Just you, and the miscreation in front of you. Apocalypse: The Hunger combines deep RPG progression, item crafting, and the tactical return of "The Stack" in a brutal, high-stakes card battler where you play for keeps.

About this game

STOP MANAGING AN ARMY. START BECOMING A LEGEND. In the modern era of card games, the battlefield has become a spreadsheet. You hide behind walls of minions, calculating favorable trades and watching animations play out while you wait for your turn. It’s slow. It’s impersonal. It dilutes the kill. Apocalypse: The Hunger strips the genre down to its raw, violent core. We have removed the creatures entirely. There are no meat shields here. This is a Personal War . IMMERSIVE AUDIO: THE VOICE OF THE APOCALYPSE Don't just read the text— hear the threat. Fully voiced characters inject massive personality into every encounter. Whether it's the chrome-hardened slang of a Human merc, the guttural aggression of an Orc enforcer, or the raspy, radioactive whispers of a Ghoul , every race brings unique flavor to the fight. The soundscape is as lethal as the spells. The city doesn't just look dangerous; it talks to you. THE RETURN OF THE STACK Removing minions doesn't mean removing depth. We are bringing back The Stack —the gold standard of tactical interaction. Real-Time Counterplay: Don’t just watch your opponent play solitaire. Respond to their moves in real-time. Zero Decision Fatigue: Stop doing math on board states. Focus entirely on the immediate threat and the lethal spell in your hand. Visceral Impact: Every card played impacts your Hero directly. The tension is immediate, constant, and personal. THE EVOLUTION OF THE HERO’S JOURNEY The "grind for packs" loop is broken. We replaced the static ladder climb with a true PVE RPG adventure set in the infinite, neon-soaked sprawl of the Metropolis. Gear Upgrades: Don't just wish for a better card—discover one. Our Tradeskilling system allows you to upgrade items like legendary MMO weapons. Stats That Matter: You aren't just a life total. Your Strength, Agility, and apocalyptic attributes dictate how your deck functions. Build a stealthy rogue or a tanky juggernaut; your stats define your cards, not the other way around. TRUE ANTE: FEAR IS A MECHANIC In the Metropolis, survival is not guaranteed. We have resurrected the Hardcore Ante system. In key encounters, you aren't playing for XP—you are playing for your gea…

Steam marketplace comparison data

Price History Overview

USD uses SteamPulse's own locally recorded daily store snapshots, so this overview reflects the exact regional price history that SteamPulse has captured for this currency.

Coverage And Tracking Window

  • Snapshots: 1
  • Coverage: Sep 23, 2026 to Sep 23, 2026
  • Lowest observed: $1.99
  • Highest observed: $1.99

Apocalypse: The Hunger's USD price history spans from Sep 23, 2026 to Sep 23, 2026, with 1 recorded snapshot across 1 calendar day. Each row records the available final price, listed base price, and discount metadata for that observation. Within this coverage the lowest recorded price is $1.99, the highest is $1.99, and the first visible tracked price is $1.99. These comparisons apply only to the snapshots SteamPulse holds; missing observations can contain changes that are not represented here.

For USD, SteamPulse uses locally captured regional storefront snapshots and does not reconstruct older prices with exchange-rate conversion. The chart and table show the values recorded for this exact currency from the stated coverage start. Additional snapshots extend that record, but they do not fill unobserved days or prove what the storefront displayed between observations.

Discount Windows And Sale Timing

  • Discount windows: 0
  • Discounted days: 0 days
  • Deepest markdown: No discount tracked
  • Latest sale window: No sale window tracked

Apocalypse: The Hunger's tracked USD rows do not contain a discount window. This means no available snapshot in the stated coverage has usable discount metadata; it does not prove that the game was never discounted. Missing snapshots or archived rows without complete metadata can hide a sale, so SteamPulse does not infer pricing strategy from this absence.

If a later snapshot includes discount metadata, it will appear here with its recorded depth, price, date, and sale name when available. Until then, this section should be read only as a description of the available rows, not as evidence about the publisher's promotion policy.

Observed Price Changes And Stable Runs

  • Observed price drops: 0
  • Observed price rises: 0
  • Longest stable run: 1 day of uninterrupted daily tracking
  • Current run: 1 day of uninterrupted daily tracking

Outside rows carrying discount metadata, the tracked price has not recorded a separate price rise or drop yet. That means the observed undiscounted level has stayed stable across the snapshots SteamPulse currently holds. This is a statement about the recorded coverage only; it does not prove that an older or missing price change never happened.

The longest unchanged price stretch in the current record lasts 1 day of uninterrupted daily tracking at $1.99, from Sep 23, 2026 through Sep 23, 2026. Among rows without discount metadata, the longest unchanged run lasts 1 day of uninterrupted daily tracking at $1.99. The latest run records $1.99 for 1 day of uninterrupted daily tracking as the same recorded undiscounted price. Run lengths describe consecutive stored observations only and do not establish that a price is permanent.

Latest Snapshot And Sales Context

  • Current price: $1.99
  • Current list price: $1.99
  • Distinct observed prices: 1
  • Source mode: SteamPulse local tracking

The latest tracked snapshot records Apocalypse: The Hunger at $1.99 in USD, with no active discount metadata. Across the available history SteamPulse has recorded 1 distinct final price in this currency. This supports comparisons with the lowest, highest, and most common values present in the retained record, subject to the stated coverage limits.

The live sales view and Steam sales record provide calendar context for these dates. A date overlap can be compared with a named Steam event, but it does not prove why a publisher changed a price. As new daily rows arrive, this overview recalculates its observed prices, discount windows, and run lengths automatically.
