  • The next region is here! - 16 September 2026

Hi Terraformers,I'm pumped to announce that a new region, Tidehaven, is here!Tidehaven is a barren volcanic wasteland and it's up to you to transform it back into the tropical oasis it once was. This region introduces some new mechanics and I'd love to hear what you think of them.First up is automation. You'll unlock a new building called the Resource Hub, which gives you additional storage and houses collection drones that automatically gather resources for you. That means more time building and fighting. And less time running around collecting.Tidehaven also introduces food and water production. Supply crates are much less common here, so you'll need to build up your own production to keep yourself, and your settlers, safe from hunger and dehydration. There are also plenty of new items and enemies waiting for you, including flying enemies that soar right over your walls and target your…

  • Getting Out of the Player’s Way - 2 September 2026

"Busy Trash"It’s not the feedback I wanted to hear, but it was feedback I needed to hear.Players were spending too much time managing inventory and navigating menus — and not enough time actually playing the game.So the latest update takes a big swing at fixing that.Your backpack now has 50% more storage at every upgrade level, and I’ve moved a feature I was originally saving for Region 2 into the first region. And you can craft it early...The Resource Uplink lets you build and craft using resources from both your backpack and storage crates. That means you can stockpile more resources around your base. The inventory menus themselves also got a major usability pass:Inventories can now be sortedFood and water can be consumed directly from any inventory where they appearStore All and Take All controls let you transfer multiple items between your backpack and storage with a single press of…

  • Fixing what was broken - 22 August 2026

“It’s boring.”That’s the constructive criticism I heard most after the demo launched on Monday. And you know what? You were right.Every action you took brought the next enemy wave close but terraforming increased every second. That meant one of the strongest strategies was also the least interesting one:Sit around and do nothing. So I changed it.Terraforming has been completely reworkedTerraforming no longer increases over time. Now you earn Terraform by:Building Terraforming structuresUpgrading themKeeping them alive during enemy wavesThere is no longer any benefit to standing around waiting. Every action still brings the next enemy wave closer, so you’ll need to decide how aggressively you want to expand. The first region is now easierThe other major feedback I heard was that the game was too difficult and the tutorial needed improvement. Also fair.In this update:Oxygen, thirst, and health…

  • You Can Finally Play Project Tomorrow - 17 August 2026

I’ve been working on this game whenever I can for over a year, and today is a pretty big milestone for me: you can finally play it.The demo takes you through the first region of the game and introduces the core systems: building, terraforming, exploration, and combat. There’s a lot more still to come, including food, water, and automated mining systems that are introduced in the second region.I'd be super pumped if you gave it a try and I hope you love it but I'd love to hear your opinion no matter what. Thanks for wishlisting the game, playing the demo, and supporting the project. I truly appreciate it. :)Ryan

  • Closed Playtest Begins - 25 May 2026

Hi Terraformers!I’m excited to announce that Project Tomorrow is now being actively played in a closed playtest. The current group of testers is still fairly small, and now that the initial wave of bugs is behind us, I’d love to invite more players to join. If you’re interested in helping shape the game early, there’s a link to apply at the bottom of this post. Now for the update!Over the last few weeks, I’ve redesigned how players complete a region and progress to the next area of Earth.Previously, progression was based entirely on reaching specific terraforming levels. It was functional but it lacked the feeling of truly rebuilding humanity’s presence on the planet. To solve this, I’ve added Settlements.Settlements are ruined structures scattered throughout the world that players must locate and rebuild. Once restored, settlers awaken from stasis and begin living there, increasing your p…

  • 🌍 Selected for Earth Appreciation Festival + 9,000 Wishlists! - 17 March 2026

We just crossed 9,000 wishlists—thank you. That kind of support is more than I could ever ask for.On top of that, Project Tomorrow has been selected for the upcoming Earth Appreciation Festival on Steam. I'm very proud of these accomplishments 🤩On the development side, I’m focused on building a large, explorable world. I’ve just completed a procedural terrain system, which allows me to create and iterate on environments much faster. I’m now actively working toward a playable demo, with a closed alpha planned for next month. If my game looks like your cup of tea, wishlisting really helps more than you might think. Thanks for being here and for being awesome—more soon.Ryan

  • Project Tomorrow Is Live on Steam + First Devlog - 26 February 2026

Hi everyone!Thank you for the incredible support for Project Tomorrow. It’s been a dizzying 48 hours since the Steam page went live, and I’m soooo grateful for the momentum and wishlists. If you're interested in the nerdy behind the scenes stuff — from procedural systems to performance optimizations — I just released the first behind-the-scenes devlog on YouTube. It dives into the story, tech, and design philosophy driving the project. You can watch it here:And if you haven’t yet, wishlisting the game makes a bigger difference than you might realize. Stay tuned for more updates and a playable demo coming soon! Thank you for being here at the beginning. Ryan
