  • Hotfix 1.3.3 - 9 September 2026

Quick hotfix to fix an issue that could ruin rendering on certain systems that are unable to handle GPU occlusion culling properly.1.3.3 Patch Notes\ Resolved an issue that caused GPU occlusion culling to be forced on due to our engine upgrade. This could cause significant visual errors on hardware that cannot handle GPU occlusion culling. Our system will force re-configure this option upon first load of this update.

  • Update 1.3.2 - Bug Squashing - 8 September 2026

This release primarily fixes bugs players have run into since the last update. This hotfix took a bit longer than we intended due to us upgrading the version of Unity we are using and having to deal with new bugs caused by that move. This move also means we have temporarily removed the upscaling options, which shouldn't be a big deal for most users, as the original implementation was netting little to no frame improvements. The biggest change in this update is how seats work and how we block or don't block their placement. You should find all of their placement bounds have been shrunk significantly, allowing tighter and better placement. We achieved this by letting customers pass through a seat if they must get to another place; they no longer need a clean navigation path with 0 obstacles. Of course, there is a slight visual degradation from this, but we personally feel it strikes a bet…

  • Update 1.3.1 - Hotfix - 1 September 2026

This hotfix addresses immediate issues and includes minor changes. After this update, you should find employees much more efficient in how they use the tray, as they will now batch orders more cleanly. Instead of all racing to grab orders as fast as possible, one employee will claim a chunk before the next one does. Additionally, employees should be better at actually washing dishes. Washing dishes has also been separated out into its own task group. If you previously disabled cleaning for an employee, this will automatically be disabled for that specific employee. Update 1.3.1 Patch Notes Added the ability to set a shelf to "NOTHING". This will stop employees from putting items on it. Coffee/food items that have been assigned to a customer will now display their table number if available. Solved an issue that would stop you from being able to bulk add items into holders from the tray S…

  • Update 1.3.0 - Make it Yours - 1 September 2026

Update 1.3.0 is our largest update since we released Cup and Counter just over a month ago. With this update, we have significantly increased the number of plants, art, and seating options available to you, while introducing new features such as the ability to put down walls.Plant OverhaulIn this update, we have made a huge change to plants. The most noticeable is the introduction of 31 new plant varieties. Three of these are new hanging types and let you change the look and feel of your cafe to suit your needs. On top of the new plants, we have made it possible to change up the pot they are placed in. You can now customize any plant with one of our 10 pot varieties. You can adjust the color of each one, just like the originals. Three of the new plant types can even have their flower color adjusted through the customizer, so you aren't stuck with the color we authored.New Seating TypesOn…

  • Update 1.2.4 - New End of Day Summary & Bug Fixes - 23 August 2026

This update fixes a few issues with the tutorial system that could lead to the CupOS interface locking up. This should no longer occur, and you will no longer be forced to follow the tutorial steps once the tablet is open. We have also done work to improve the reliability of certain achievements triggering. On top of the bug fixes, we have redesigned the end-of-day summary to provide you with a better breakdown of how your day went. Patch 1.2.4 Patch Notes Redesigned the daily summary. It should now look more visually appealing while showing a lot more data about how your day went. Made the milestones UI flow better. This still needs work, but we have a plan to replace this system entirely. Fixed an issue where a disabled cup size was causing the Size Doesn't Matter achievement to never trigger. Improved the reliability of unlocking the Clean Sweep achievement by reducing the number of…

  • Update 1.2.3 - Fixing NPC Issues and Lights Respawning - 22 August 2026

This quick update features a key fix for two major problems. The first is the employees mass leaving at close time. They should now stick around until there are no longer any tasks that need completing. On the flip side, they should also not stay any longer than they need after closing. The second is an issue with how we were generating IDs for items we placed in the scene, such as the standard lighting in the cafe. This issue caused the IDs to change every time we adjusted the Cafe. With this change, the IDs should change one last time, then be set to a much more reliable value that shouldn't drift through changes to the game. Critical fix to the way static IDs were being generated for our scene-placed items. This caused things like lights to be recreated every time we changed the Cafe layout. You will experience another one-time respawn of these items, but after this, any change you m…

  • Patch 1.2.2 - Tutorial Improvements & Courier Fixes - 21 August 2026

This is a smaller update. In this update, we reworked a chunk of the tutorial UI to make it easier to read and work better on smaller screens, such as a device like the Steam Deck. This patch also includes some crucial fixes, including one where items could fall through the cafe floor. We also added a system to recover any items that fall through the world, and they will be automatically teleported to the delivery area. We have also done some initial work on solving some of the issues people are facing with the courier. If you have multiple couriers, they should all now start actually delivering. Update 1.2.2 Patch Notes - Slight redesign of the tutorial UI to make it look nicer on smaller screens. Also condensed the tutorial steps to make them easier to follow. - Solved an issue with the floor colliders that could lead to certain items flying through the world. - Fixed an issue where t…

  • Update 1.2.1 - CupOS Improvements and Bug Fixes - 20 August 2026

With this update, we focused on improving the usability of the CupOS interface and making it easier to navigate when using a controller. Key changes include making several tools much easier to use. For example, the restock button and screen now update to reflect the drinks and food items you have enabled. The pricing screen has also been overhauled, so drinks are now broken down into categories, letting you switch off entire types of drinks at the touch of a button. New drinks will temporarily appear at the top of this page. To make doors less annoying to deal with, we have made a couple of changes. First, the storage area/office/rear exit doors will no longer be automatically closed by your staff, which will help stop them from slamming the door in your face. Secondly, when doors are open, they are no longer collidable, so you shouldn't even get stuck in a spot, and moving in and out o…

  • Update 1.2.0 - Room to Grow: Café Expansion & Second Floor - 19 August 2026

In this update, we have made a major change to the cafe and apartment. The cafe now spans the whole space, with the office being moved out into a new, larger alleyway. To make this flow nicely, you will now also have access to a storage room.On top of the larger open space, you can now extend your cafe into the second floor, giving you a lot more space to work with. To accommodate this, we moved the apartment building across the plaza and moved the apartment you live in to one that's a bit closer to the stairs. You should find getting to and from the cafe a little faster than before. To help new players discover features such as the furniture buyer in the Cash For Clutter shop, we have introduced a new letter system; you will get mail every few days. At the moment, the only real game point it touches on is the furniture seller; the rest is just bits of story. We apologize for this update…

  • Update 1.1.8 - Achievements, Deliveries & Better Localization - 9 August 2026

With this patch, we primarily focused on fixing some key behavioral issues with the new courier system and delivery bags. Both should be in a better state with this update and deliver orders more consistently, instead of getting stuck in a loop. We also fixed a critical issue in this update with naming your Cafe. It now properly supports more than just English characters, so typing in Chinese, Japanese, and other languages should now work. On top of this, we have done our first big achievement addition. If you have been playing the game for a while, you will probably find a chunk of these will trigger as soon as you open your saved game. Update 1.1.8 Patchnotes Added 53 new achievements. Fixed the store naming dialog to properly accept input in other languages. Different characters such as Chinese and Japanese should now work when typed. Please let us know if this is not the case. Fixed…

  • Update 1.1.7 - Carry More, Manage Better - 8 August 2026

With this update, we are introducing the first iteration of a new system some players have been asking for. You will now be able to hold multiple boxes at once, depending on their size. Large boxes are still only one, but smaller ones like food should stack from 3 to 4. This is a new system, so we will be looking to hear everyone's feedback on it. Another part of this update is we have replaced the input glyphs we were using with ones be Kenney, they are much mroe readable at a glance, especially with controllers, but we will likely need to tweak them, please let us know if you experience any oddities. Additionally, we have corrected one key issue with our table number update: the ability to set table numbers yourself rather than relying on our automated system. In move mode, you can now look at a table and hit E to change its number. We have also dealt with various other bugs that user…

  • Update 1.1.6a - Hotfix - 8 August 2026

This is a quick hotfix aiming to solve a few quick issues that have arrisen. Update 1.1.6a Patch Notes Fix table numbers being unable to be packed up Ensure paper bag holder boxes can only ever deliver a single item. Also solves an issue that enables you to duplicate the number of box holders you have by picking up, converting it back to a box and placing two more down again. Fixed the rebinding functionality so you can now map the mouse the scroll wheel up, down, left and right actions. Initial fix for employees not wanting to restock display trays holding cake.

  • Update 1.1.6 - Delivery Rework & Couriers - 7 August 2026

With update 1.1.6, we have overhauled how the original delivery system works in almost every aspect. It is no longer a weird system shoved to the side; it now integrates with your normal orders. The biggest advantage of combining these is that employees can now make drinks for delivery orders. For those who have already unlocked delivery, you will now need to purchase a delivery counter and paper bags. All delivery orders need to be packed into a paper bag before they can be delivered to the customer. On top of this, there is a new employee subtype that you can choose: the courier. Couriers are the only employees that are capable of taking a delivery order and taking it to its destination.Another change you will notice with the new delivery system is that you no longer need a delivery phone. Just by setting up the counter, you will automatically receive online delivery orders. The catch i…

  • Update 1.1.5: Make It Your Colour - 3 August 2026

With this update, we introduced a new way of coloring your mugs, plates, and cat beds in the game. You can now use any color you like, much in the same way you decorate things like the walls and tables. Any existing mug can be re-styled using the design tool. You can either change a whole set by selecting them while they are in their holder, or you can assign a different color to each individual item. As always, please continue to give us your feedback and let us know about any bugs you may run into. We will likely be moving to a slightly slower release schedule just so that we can focus more on getting content into the game for people to enjoy. However, if any bad bugs do pop up, we will be sure to fix them as soon as possible. One of the next big systems that we will be overhauling is the order delivery one. We know not many people are a huge fan of having to leave the store or being…

  • Update 1.1.4: Display Trays & Drink Transfers - 2 August 2026

In this update, we are introducing two new features that will help make people's lives easier, especially when dealing with food and the display cabinets. You can now purchase a display tray. These can be placed into the counter, and then you can place items onto these trays. Employees will be able to automatically restock these from any boxes you have lying around. Before: with the previously hand-placed items After: Using the new display trays The second new feature is the ability for you to transfer cup contents from one to another. This will make it easier if you make a mistake like grabbing the wrong-sized cup or the wrong type. Now that we are on top of things, we are going to begin working towards our long-term goals and begin implementing new features for everyone to enjoy. Some of these will be new drinks to make, or new things that occur in the world. If you have any suggestions,…

  • Hotfix 1.1.3b - 1 August 2026

Another hotfix to solve issues that made their way in due to the rushed nature of the latest hotfix. Added the ability to turn off and on the new texture streaming. Disabling texture streaming increases VRAM usage as the largest textures will be used. Steam Cloud Saves could be unreliable and not uploaded properly and synced. This was made worse by the last hotfix but should now be resolved and significantly more reliable than previously.

  • Hotfix 1.1.3a - 1 August 2026

Quick hotfix to attempt to fix reported stuttering issues. - Re-ordered GPU renderers to prioritize DX11 over DX12

  • Update 1.1.3 - Performance Pass & Material Controls - 1 August 2026

With update 1.1.3, a lot has been going on behind the scenes to improve the game's performance. We are much happier with where things sit now, so we will be able to move back to focusing on more obvious changes like more features and bug fixes. There is one new feature in this update: the material tool now gives you more control over how things look. You can now change the tiling size for a material (How big or small it looks) as well as the smoothness (the smoother, the more it reflects the surfaces around it) Our next update will introduce a new display tray that you will be able to use to place your food into the display cabinets without it being a hassle to look good. The original system will still exist, but this will offer an alternative. As a bonus, the display trays will enable your employees to restock food items. Update 1.1.3 Patch Notes Material tool now has access to another…

  • Update 1.1.2: UI Improvements, Upscaling & Custom Colours - 30 July 2026

With update 1.1.2, we have made some significant changes to some of our user interface to make it nicer and easier to use. You should find the material tool to be much more useful thanks to the ability to choose your own color tint rather than relying solely on our swatches. We also now show you a small preview so you can see what your changes are doing without having to constantly close and re-open the menu. On top of this, we have begun laying the groundwork for future updates by working on improving performance. Ensuring we have a good base will make adding more to the game later easier. We are continuing to gather user feedback as we plan where to take the game forward! Update 1.1.2 Patch Notes Re-implemented the material swap tools to be easier to use and provide more options. You can now use your own custom colors, rather than the swatches provided by us. Fixed the service, takeou…

  • Update 1.1.1: Tip Jar, Smarter Move Mode & New Furniture - 29 July 2026

With update 1.1.1 we continue moving to try and address some of the biggest issues reported to us as well as slowly begin implementing new features. The biggest feature we are introducing with this update is the tip jar. Your customers will automatically walk up and deposit there tip into the jar rather than dumping it on the table. This helps address one of the biggest pain points as you grow out your store. On top of this, we have made an adjustment to move mode to make it easier to identify whether a customer or employee can actually reach something. If something is unreachable, you will see a little warning icon appear above it. Additionally, you can also now see where exactly the queues will go and how they reroute when you put furniture in the way. You will also find a couple of new items to purchase, this includes a new variant of the counter, wider shelves, and a new stand alone…
