- Performance, Performance, Performance (v0.24) - 10 September 2026
Hello survivors!Based on the changelog length this week, you'd think this might be a small update. However, we spent all week on performance and squeezing out as much performance in all situations as we can; we want to make sure the game is playing smoothly on all devices. We've also been hard at work replacing a lot of our placeholder assets and UI with release-ready art and polish. There's still a lot more work to be done there before our full release (this month?!), but you'll notice a completely redesigned inventory and crafting experience at the Alchemy Table and Alchemy Altar.Check out what's new below:UI Changes Added a key shortcut to inventory lists that toggles whether item tooltips are shown.Redesigned the player inventory, equipment panel, and stats panel.Redesigned the Alchemy Table crafting UI.You can now equip/unequip weapons and equipment directly from your inventory list…
- Complete Graphical Overhaul (v0.23) - 2 September 2026
Hello, survivors! We've got a huge update this week that completely revamps our graphical engine; as we move closer and closer to our release date, we're hoping to go back through everything in the game with a fine-tooth comb and polish it up to the standards we want to ship with. This graphical rework is just the first step.Every level in the game has been redesigned with dynamic lighting, a pixel-perfect perspective camera, layered shadows, and animations. Gone are the day of a wishing well just turning blue when making a wish... everything is looking way better!Instead of trying to show you with a bunch of before/after screenshots, we've recorded a short video of each level before and after this overhaul:Besides the big graphical overhaul, we have some other smaller updates that are going out in this release as well.Good luck surviving; enjoy the update!Graphical Overhaul The renderin…

We want abilities to make each character feel unique, and ability upgrades to let you customize how those characters play even further. In this update, we're adding 2 new abilities to characters that didn't have one yet and a ton of upgrades to some existing abilities that needed some love.We hope this makes it fun to return to some of these earlier characters and play around with a new aspect of customizing your run: deciding which upgrades to take.Good luck surviving!...and here's what's new:New Character: Skip This kid's tournament yo-yo bounces from enemy to enemy, doing sick tricks when bouncing.Every bounce in a single throw raises that throw's damage by 15%.Land 4 or more bounces in one throw and Skip gets hyped wi…
- New Survivors Are Here (v0.21.0) - 21 August 2026
Hello, survivors! We went ham on identifying and stamping out a bunch of performance issues this week to ensure the game runs as smooth as we'd like on all devices. - Oh, the places you'll go! (v0.17) - 22 July 2026
Hello survivors! This week's update is a doozy. There's a ton of new stuff mixed with a ton of changes, particularly around game balance. We've heard that the game is very hard and unforgiving for a while now and we've previously tried to tackle that difficulty through more systems to engage in and power yourself up through: crafting, shrines, consumables, equipment, etc. This really raised the ceiling for how strong you can get in the late game, but it hasn't really made the early/mid game any easier for new players or players still finding their footing. This update rebalances the difficulty across the whole game with some sweeping changes. Time will tell if we swung too far in the opposite direction (please tell us on Discord!), but I think low-star levels are feeling like a great place to experiment and figure out the game in, and high-star levels are giving the masochistic difficulty…

We love to see everyone cooperating to survive the hordes! We've got a very small update to make co-op a little smoother for everyone --Here's what's new:Fixed off-screen indicators not showing up for dropped items and bossesAdded new off-screen indicators for other players in co-opFixed enemy projectiles sometimes not showing up for all players in co-opChanged the post-game Retry button to require all players to ready up instead of just relying on the host to immediately start a new roundIn-game popups about newly discovered items and crafting workstations no longer block your view in co-op (since they don't pause in co-op!) and are instead a minimal banner in the corner of the screenIt's a small update today, but we wanted to get these fixes out ASAP. See you soon with a larger update, and good luck surviving!

Great news, survivors! Help is on the way!Alchemy Survivors has a brand new Co-op mode which lets up to 4 players queue in together and survive the hordes as a team! We've also worked on a ton of performance improvements for this update to make sure the game is nice and smooth for you and all of your friends.New Mode: Co-op Multiplayer Up to 4 players can join a game together. Simply host a Co-op game and your Steam friends will be able to join from the Co-op menu as long as you're in the pre-game lobby.Choose from your own unlocked characters and locations, even if your friends haven't unlocked them yet.All players share XP and level up together, but have their own choices to make each time they level up.Gold and essence are also shared among the team; be sure to tell your friends not to blow all your valuable essence gambling for epic upgrades at the Hellforge! When any player dies, a…
- Armor Up For the Hordes (v0.15) - 2 July 2026
Hello survivors! This week we've focused on combat and balance. We've increased spawn rates and given many enemies armor (which reduces your damage done to them, unless your build includes armor piercing affixes...), which should result in bigger crowds and more interesting movement through them. Because we've amped up the spawn rates, this means you'll also be getting a lot more XP and leveling up faster, so the whole game should feel a little more fast-paced, though still strategic. We've also added a bunch of ways to beef up your survivability, instead of strictly relying on crafting armor (though that's still the best way to survive for long periods of time!).But there's a lot more to this update than just balance changes; you can read the full changes below:Gameplay ChangesYou can now reroll your level-up upgrade choices by spending gold. (First reroll per level up costs 1 gold, the…

- Survivor Abilities (v0.13) - 12 June 2026
This update focuses on character personalities and making each survivor feel and play unique. We've already experimented with a few per-character movement abilities (you might've seen them on Frog, Grog, and Mambo), but now we're ready to add unique abilities to every survivor. This update adds abilities for many survivors, but there are still many more in development. If you have ideas for cool abilities that'd make sense on a character, we'd love to hear about them on Discord! (link in the game's title screen). So without further ado, lets get into what's new in this update!New: Survivor AbilitiesAdded unique abilities to the following characters:Kaine: Charge Momentum - Gains up to 4x speed when continuously moving in the same direction.Adele: Bulwark Vow - Gain +1 Armor for each nearby enemy, up to +12.Asha: Stormwake - Lightning continuously strikes where you were 2 seconds prior.Esp…
- Reining In Explosions (v0.12.4) - 11 June 2026
Hi all! Thanks a ton for the feedback on explosions from player weapons. It seems they were a little too potent, especially in later levels where it's almost impossible to avoid some friendly-fire damage as you're swarmed with hordes of fast-moving enemies.Explosive weapons are generally meant to be more powerful than other weapons, with an inherent risk of self-damage associated with the big AoE damage they provide. There are definitely some improvements to be made in how explosions work and how they're communicated, which I hope this patch provides. Some notable callouts before getting to the full changelog:There's now a new visual indicator for every explosion so you can see the exact radius of damage; you can now stack Armor in your build to more effectively shield against explosion damage; and explosions are now capped at 30% of your max health per hit to give you a little more time…
- Daily Challenge Leaderboards (v0.12.3) - 9 June 2026
Hi all! We're LOVING being a part of Steam's Bullet Fest and all the new faces we've seen from it. We've had a ton of great suggestions in Discord and over email and can't wait to share even more new stuff soon.Until then, we've got a small-but-still-awesome patch for you a little early this week: we've added Leaderboards to the daily challenge.Besides that, we've polished up some workstations and rebalanced a few enemies to make dealing with them a little more interesting in the moment. Here's the full patch notes:Daily Challenge ChangesYou can now see a leaderboard for survival time in the daily challenge. Compare your score to just your friends or everyone on Steam as you fight for the #1 spot each day!Leaderboards reset each day at the same time the challenge changes.Crafting ChangesRather than immediately consuming potions crafted at the Mirepot, they're now added to your inventory.…
- It's Finally Time to Survive! (v0.12) - 6 June 2026
Hello, alchemists! We entered Early Access about 2 months ago with an admittedly naive goal of releasing this month. Although we're not quite ready for a full exit from Early Access yet (y'all have had so many awesome ideas on Discord, and there's so much more we want to build!), the game is in a really good spot and we're already seeing a ton of players spend dozens of hours surviving late into the night.Instead of rushing the full release, we're going to keep grinding on an amazing game, keep listening to your feedback, and keep building the game we want to spend our next thousand hours playing. We want to hear your suggestions, complaints, and survival stories; join us on Discord to join us on the adventure! This is the biggest release we've had, by far, since the start of the game. There's so much to go through (sorry about your scroll wheel!), but I also want to highlight some awesom…
- Merchants, Far and Wide (v0.11) - 27 May 2026
Hello, survivors! We've got a themed release around merchants, trading, and items this week; but that doesn't mean it isn't also packed full of other goodies! The latest version is now live for Windows, Mac, and Steam Deck!Lets start with the merchant changes and then get into the rest!Merchant Changes: Rather than spawning random merchants in every level, each level now has its own pool of merchants that can spawn thereAdded merchants to the minimapAll existing merchants have had their inventories extended and will carry more, varied itemsUncommon, rare, and epic items from merchants now include affixes on the items they sellAdded a "Quick Sell" feature to merchant windows that auto-sells all your Common items (with a preview/confirmation of what will sell)Some merchants will now hang out in the area for a while instead of strictly only passing throughThe "Press \ to trade" tooltip abo…
