Build your daily deck of actions, manage your mental state, and try to deliver projects in a workplace full of meetings, chaos, and questionable management decisions. Combine cards, generate code, complete tasks, and navigate the strange ecosystem of modern tech companies. Your career will take you through different roles and situations in the industry — from junior developer struggles to the politics of larger organizations. A Corporate Zoo The tech industry in Overcommit is populated by anthropomorphic animals representing different roles within the corporate ecosystem. You may encounter: Lions as CEOs Sloths as testers Wild boars as programmers Other unusual creatures trying to survive corporate life Core Gameplay Every in-game day is played through a series of card draws representing your workday. Cards represent: Work actions – productive work, deep focus, debugging, writing code Mental states – stress, creativity, concentration, burnout Workplace events – meetings, interruptions, office politics Personal actions – rest, coffee breaks, or questionable coping strategies Combining cards can create new states such as Flow , Panic , or Brilliant Ideas , changing how effectively you can work.
