- Playtest is open now! - 24 August 2026
Hello everyone! This is the second public playtest for Under Potion Influence. After the last one, I made sure to address all the feedback I received, and I'm now ready to share this latest build. This should also represent the level of quality I am aiming for the full release.I am not sure how long I will keep this playtest available for. Like always, expect a one week window, but I may stretch it based on feedback and players' interest. If you want to help me improve the game, you can share your feedback at the form linked at the end. This time, I also ask of you to please opt-in to data collection. There is no personal data collected, but only gameplay events triggered and the result of potion evaluations. I made sure to state it in the game as well, so I hope you will opt-in so that I have a clearer idea of what are the bottlenecks. Thanks again to everyone who gives the game a try. Ha…
- End of Public Playtest - 20 July 2026
Hello everyone,I closed the playtest after this one week since I got a lot of feedback from everyone who played the game. But don't worry! I'm planning to improve the game and come back with a new public playtest in hopefully a month or two at most, with also more content since I'm getting close to a demo release. So stay tuned!Unsurprisingly I got mixed feedback about what everyone liked about the game. I was expecting this since the game is made of gameloops that usually aren't paired together (job simulator and dungeon crawling). Every single player had a different answer, which was something that worried me before the playtest. I was worried that nobody would find the game fun because there was a part they didn't like as much as the rest. However, I noticed how most left very positive comments, which makes me glad and hopeful that if I keep polishing the mechanics this may actually…
- Playtest is open now! - 13 July 2026
Hello everyone! After a long time working behind the scenes, the playtest is finally available. I wanted to make sure the game was in a state that represents the experience I want to create, while also fixing the biggest issues that could get in the way of enjoying it.The playtest will be available for the next 1-2 weeks. Before closing it, I will post another announcement so that anyone who hasn't had the chance to try it yet will have some time to jump in.If you want to help me improve the game, I would really appreciate it if you could share your feedback through this form: Feedback FormIf you find any bug, please report them here: Bug Report. It helps a lot that you follow this template so that I can easily identify, reproduce and fix the bugThank you so much to everyone who decides to give the game a try. I hope you'll enjoy testing potions in a questionable working environment!Link…
- Public Playtest Soon! - Devlog - 10 June 2026
Hello!I'm Marco, the developer behind Under Potion Influence.I held a small and private playtesting session, and I'm currently addressing the issues that came up.Luckily, it looks like these are mostly small issues, which is good, as it means the game is coming up nicely! Which also means that I will soon release a build for public playtests, so keep your eyes open for that!I was expecting to hold a public playtest sooner, but I suddenly decided to add another completely different gamemode that wasn't in my original vision of the game. Now, you have two phases for each day. The first is when you do your job, identify the guild's potions and label them. The second is when you explore a dungeon and find a way to escape. The game was really itching for something more. You had all these potions, but no use for them!? So I listened to it! You can now steal potions and use them in the dungeon!…
