• New Sacrifices will soon join the ritual! (Sneak Peek #1) - 31 August 2026

  Hi y'all!! Sorry for the lack of updates, I was really busy working on a new engine port of the game :) Here is a little sneak peek at three out of five upcoming sacrifices! Keep in mind that I work hard on the game, and that I have completed the coding, only visual side left - I really don't know how much it will take, but I'm doing it as soon as possible. Thanks for everyone being here and wishlisting and chatting about my game - means a lot!! It's better for me to stay quiet and not leak a lot of things I did behind the scene that I'm sure players will find enjoyable, and I wanted to add that I will not use GenAI at all, which in my opinion looks bad, DEPLETED never used nor will ever use AI Generated Assets. • Shifting Away from Unreal Engine - 26 April 2026

  Hey everyone,I want to be transparent about a pretty big decision regarding the development of the game.I’ve decided to move away from Unreal Engine and continue development on a different engine.This wasn’t a quick or easy choice. I spent a long time trying to make it work. Unreal is incredibly powerful, and there are parts of it I genuinely like. The networking side in particular has been solid, and the tests we ran on Steam went really well. From that perspective, I’m happy with what we achieved so far.But over time, the downsides started to outweigh the benefits for this specific project.The biggest issue is iteration speed. Everything feels heavy. Adding new content, maintaining systems, and optimizing performance takes way more time than it should. Even compiling alone takes a lot of time and constantly breaks the flow.On top of that, I kept running into situations where something…

• Emergency Fixes! - 6 April 2026

  Hi everyone!!! DEPLETED finnaly launched into Early Access!! There were some issues that are (hopefully) fixed: -Fixed an issue where voice chat didn't work for sacrifices.-Fixed an issue with matchmaking, games should be found now and played with others besides friends.-Fixed a number of issues with the audio engine.Known issues:Landscape in game can appear blank on low settings.Ritualist ability sound can be heard in some cases by survivors.

  HI EVERYONE!!! DEPLETED is less than 24 hours away!! This is my first commercial video game and I really hope you will enjoy it! I plan on updating the game with tons of features. I didn't want to charge any money since I believe in free games, this game took me about a year to make. I firstly wanted to test multiplayer and hit registration before adding other stuff since I'm a solo dev. There is a paid DLC that you can buy in order to support me!!Currently I'm working on 1.0 release which will overhaul the game, add tons of new features and movement strategies and fightback for sacrifices 👀!
