- Elite Enemies, Dodging Attacks, and Redesigned Screens - 0.7.0 is LIVE! - 9 August 2026
New Features and Updates● New Death Summary & Item UnlockingBoth screens got rebuilt from the ground up — cleaner layout, high score tracking, and a full breakdown of what you achieved (and missed) on the way down. Dying now comes with paperwork. Fun paperwork! ● Elite Enemies Every enemy in the dungeon can now spawn as an elite. They'll roll modified stats that buff one category, and nerf another. While a normal skeleton might be trivial with a Bleed build, a Chunky skeleton is going to be a much bigger challenge. There are four different combinations of elite enemies per creature, so... good luck! ● DodgeSpeed doesn't add to your strikes anymore. Instead, it fuels a totally new mechanic in the game - Dodge. It does exactly what it sounds like. Each point of speed will grant you 0.5% to your dodge chance. It'll be a trade-off though because when you dodge, you won't be able to trigger…
- Destinations, Demo Prep, and Deadlier Bosses - 0.6.8 is LIVE! - 27 July 2026
New Features and UpdatesDestination SelectNow when leaving the village, you'll see the new destination select screen. This is laying the framework for the overall shape of the game and giving you a preview of other game modes to come. Now you can 100% the playtest! Dungeon ProgressionSpeaking on the shape of the game, bosses are now tied to specific floors. You'll first face the Court Mage, then the Knight Commander, then finally the Last Queen. This is so the playtest / demo has a definite goal and ending to play towards. Once we get the new maps in, defeating the Last Queen is what would unlock the next area (Forest, Tower, etc). Reworked Event RewardsDungeon events have changed! They no longer cost any resources to choose an option, but you might get a negative result. (The result / outcome screen is now much clearer as well.) This was part one of the change. Part two will be tying t…
- Free Look, New Orbs, and a Secret Thing - 0.6.7 is LIVE! - 18 July 2026
Hello Adventurers and welcome to patch 0.6.7.UpdatesFree LookPress Shift to look around the dungeon around your character. Peek around the map without spending torch! (I bet there is a new item that increases its radius too.) Revamped Item Upgrade System Gold is out, upgrade ORBS are in. You'll collect them as you descend each floor instead of teleporting back and forth to town to spam upgrades. It's still a random choice each visit, but that part's getting more love in a future update too. Reworked Torchlight Tiers Your torch now has 3 clear states: Out → Bright → Blazing. Every item that references torchlight has been updated to match, so hopefully those items actually feel worth building around now. More audioAnother small pass adding unique sound for more interactions. Secret Thing! A new... thing... has entered the dungeon. We're not spoiling it. You'll run into it, and you'll know…
