- Update 19 - Patch 5 - 20 July 2023
This patch consists mostly of smaller bug fixes. Fixed issue with the multi-crafting skill where it either didn't consume any resources at all and kept crafting the same item, or crafted twice as much as intended, but then removed two entries from the queue which have already been paid for. It will now craft twice the amount of items when triggered, but remove one from the queue, so the extra one is free as intended. Lookout points in outposts no longer show that you get bonuses from multiple nodes. This bonus was never intended for lookout points, and was never given, but the text incorrectly indicated that it did. Fixed a problem that was caused during map generation, sometimes the generated map was invalid, and the game generated another one - which was invisible to the player - and slightly corrupted the save file by keeping all the objects from the original generation in a particul…
- Update 19 - Patch 4 - 11 May 2023
Hey all, Another patch - this one mainly for Japanese players because their story/campaign wasn't working. I hope this is the last one for a while, but if I find out about more critical issues I'll patch them ASAP. Fixed a bug that prevented campaign & story texts from showing up when playing in Japanese. When selecting an enemy, the info panel now takes into account difficulty settings and shows more accurate stats. It only shows base stats, however, so it doesn't take into account temporary effects on the specific selected creature (like spell debuffs, auras, etc). In case you missed it - here's the post about the latest major update (19): https://steamcommunity.com/games/455980/announcements/detail/3709320260509453947
- Update 19 - Patch 3 - 9 May 2023
Tweaked footprint (mainly late game when you have lots of objects) and fixed a few bugs: Lowered footprint of farms from 1 to 0.5. Lowered footprint of buildings from 4 to 2.5. Lowered footprint of mines from 5 to 3. Lowered footprint of altars from 5 to 4. Fixed issue where 0% bonuses were being shown after re-rolling rescued survivors. Fixed bug that let you disband a taskforce when out of base and those survivors were lost. Fixed issue where resource nodes were not spawned when playing with Outposts DLC and Desert Survival mode. I apologize but this fix will only affect new games started after the fix. Fixed issue with save files from before patch 2 that had survivors that were assigned to outpost tasks and then left the outpost but remained assigned to those tasks.
- Update 19 - Patch 2 - 7 May 2023
This patch fixes a few issues around outposts and other new features introduced in update 19. Thank you all for reporting issues and helping resolve them. I've made both free DLCs part of the main game, so you will have the option to play them even if Steam didn't install the DLCs. You can still choose whether to use them or not whenever you start a new game. I did this because I've noticed the Steam client sometimes doesn't download the DLCs like it's supposed to, and some players played without even knowing they were missing. Survivors assigned to outpost tasks now gain experience, albeit at only 20% the rate that they would working on these tasks in the main base. The lower XP rate is due to them not eating, drinking, contributing only 50% to footprint, and not counting towards the survivor limit. Also, they work and gain XP 24/7, they don't spend time sleeping or walking around the…
- Update 19 Patch 1 - 4 May 2023
Fixed a major issue when loading a game from previous builds, it would calculate the estimation of the number of times that you were raided incorrectly and make the game impossibly difficult. This would also happen if you loaded a game from the current build before you were raided, but after 10 days have passed (possible in lower difficulties). The fix will also recognize impossibly high raid counts when you load your game and fix it, so if you've been affected by this issue it should be fixed now. ------------------- Other fixes/changes: - Tweaked the extra raid difficulty when playin with outposts, it will start a bit later and increase more slowly. - Updated the OriginalConfigs included in the game installation, used as reference for modding. - Fixed an issue that crashed when loading some saves from previous versions
- 5th Anniversary Update & New Free DLC - 3 May 2023
Hello everyone, This is a joyous day! It's been 5 years since Judgment's full release and in celebration of the occasion, I have a wonderful surprise for you. I've just released a major update, as well as a new (FREE) DLC. During these 5 years, we've released another strategy/building game (more about it at the end of the post), and I've learned a lot. I took all that gained knowledge and experience, and tried to think how to best improve Judgment, given the limitations (Technical limitations of my 8-year-old code, and time limit - I could only spend a couple of months on this update as I have another game in Early Access who's fans are expecting updates). Saves from the previous version are supported (but not from before that as I explained in the previous update), however games started without the outposts DLC will not have the outposts content. Here are the most significant changes i…
- Update 18.1 patch 1 - 13 February 2023
Following the last update in which I updated the game engine, this patch adds a couple of fixes: Fixed an issue in which the game wouldn't run in countries that use a comma as decimal point rather than a period. The game was trying to parse our config files using the computer's locale (using a comma) and was failing because all our config files use periods for decimal points. Saves from previous builds are now marked as unsupported, and when trying to load them you'll see a message with a link that explains how to roll back Judgment to the previous build in order to continue your save files that cannot be loaded with the new engine version. Thank you to all who reported and helped debugging these issues.
- Updated engine, fixed bug with 10th gen intel chipsets - 13 February 2023
This fix was long overdue. Most of you won't feel any difference, but it took a lot of work to upgrade our game engine Unity from the 2016 version to a newer version that fixes issues in which the game didn't work with newer Intel systems without some hacks and workarounds. Unfortunately, the new version of the engine is unable to deserialize saved games made with the previous build (it's a different version of .net). If you wish to continue a save made before the update, please use Steam's beta branches feature to roll-back to the previous version of the game, and return to the latest version when you're ready to start a new game. You can find instructions here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/455980/discussions/0/3767860527650318614/ In addition: - A few small text bugs were fixed as well. - Fixed a bug that would return speed to x1 after combat even if the setting to do so was disable…

Survivors, hi! It's been a while since you last heard from us here. We now come with exciting news - our latest title - Dream Engines: Nomad Cities has just been released on Steam! https://store.steampowered.com/app/1076750/Dream_Engines_Nomad_Cities/ If you enjoyed Judgment, this may be a good time to take a short break from the apocalypse, and see if you can survive in a Steampunk, Tim-Burton inspired world with flying cities! In Dream Engines: Nomad Cities you play the role of an overseer of a flying city project. You control Tiny - a giant Steambot, as you explore the area around your city, find resources, build automated production lines, expand, and defend it from never-ending Dream Plagues. Eventually your city will be overrun, so the only way to really survive in the long run, is to take-off and fly to a safer area, taking with you all that you can, and choosing what to leave be…

- New patch - The Samurai Update improves melee combat and adds Japanese support - 17 April 2020
Hello survivors, As I explained in the previous post, we needed a short break from working on our next title Dream Engines: Nomad Cities, and getting back to Judgment for a small but impactful update was the perfect way for us to spend this time. So here you have it - the Samurai Update. In this update we focused on making survivors equipped with melee weapons more meaningful. We've heard your feedback in which melee were not very useful because they died before they could even get near their targets and deal any real damage. This update strengthens these melee survivors and adds new ways for them to quickly close the distance and deal damage, but also increase their survivability and make them less cannon-fodder. We also added some new content around this such as the Samurai profession, a new enemy, and some small quality of life improvements. This isn't a huge update, as we're super b…
- New update available on the beta branch - 13 April 2020
Survivors! We hope you are all safe and healthy and staying at home. Here's a little something to make your time at home a little bit nicer, hopefully. It's been a while since we released our last update with the free DLC - Desert Survival. We've been very busy working on our next title, Dream Engines: Nomad Cities. Sometimes, however, it's good to take a break and step away from a big project for a little while, and what better use of that time than updating or good old Judgment? Melee Update So here we are, a small update centered around melee combat. We added a new profession, skills, abilities and items around melee combat. Most of these are meant to increase the survivability and usefulness of melee warriors. We've added abilities that allow survivors to quickly charge at enemies, and also those that allow them to disengage and retreat before these brave front-line warriors are mow…

- Desert Survival FREE DLC now available - 8 July 2019
https://i.imgur.com/oWfDBgc.jpg Survivors, It’s summer, it’s hot, and it just got hotter. A new update for Judgment is now available on Steam, with a new, FREE DLC will let you fight of demons in the Desert! The Desert Survival DLC opens up a new game mode which takes place in the desert, and changes some of the game mechanics. The desert is more sparsely populated, so a bit harder to find places to scavenge, and as if that is not enough, your base is also much less self sufficient, at least in the beginning - so you will need that scavenge more than ever. You will have to build a city from scratch in a wacky nightmare-infested world and defend it from terrible creatures. What really makes this game special is that the cities you build are nomadic. They can - and must - fly in order to survive. Resources are scarce and dangers are vast, the only way to stay alive is to keep moving. Check out our announce trailer on Youtube. Dream Engines is inspired by classics such as Caesar and Cleopatra, as well as newer titles such as They are Billions and Factorio. These all provide inspiration, but Dream Engines is significantly differen…

I have no excuse for keeping quiet so long, but I’ll try to make up for it by being as informative and open as I can and tell you what we are doing and what/when to expect. Development Status First, I’d like to be honest with you, and say that I believe we’ve bitten on a bit more than we can chew. We started working on that new project (more info below), one that is very ambitious, and at the same time promised you that we will provide more post-release updates to Judgment. Our new game is turning up much more complex than we expected (so much that we haven’t been able to announce it officially yet), and the update we have in mind for Judgment is taking far longer than we anticipated. - A Very Halloween-y Update - 26 October 2018
https://cdn.steampulse.org/steam/asset?u=https%3A%2F%2Fsteamcdn-a.akamaihd.net%2Fsteamcommunity%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2Fclans%2F19085862%2Fb86e5b222a975b37c8a6cdb707908473373d7732.jpg Survivors! It's hard to believe it has been five months since we’ve released the full version of Judgment. We have been overwhelmed by the worldwide response, the hundreds of streamers and YouTubers that showed our first game to the world, and the tens of thousands of people who made Judgment, for a few days, one of the best-selling games on Steam. As a small show of our appreciation, we made a special Halloween update. Pumpkin Apocalypse! For thousands of years, humans considered Halloween as a time of magic and portents. Many saw it as mere superstition, but after the Apocalypse, we’ve all learned the truth. At this time, more than just demons roam the Earth. https://cdn.steampulse.org/steam/asset?u=https%3A%2F%2Fsteamcdn-a.akamaihd.net%2Fsteamcommunity%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2Fclans%2F19085862%2F9c53732e96aaabd1e10ace605ab158e6%25E2%2580%25A6

Since our first post-launch patch, Update 16.1, we’ve taken a break from working on Judgment. Some of us went on vacations, some of us had new babies born, and even moved to different countries. We did manage to get some work done as well. Yes, we started brainstorming, prototyping, and testing ideas for our next game. We’re not quite ready to reveal it just yet, however, I can say that it won’t be a sequel to Judgment or happening in the Judgment universe. It will also be a strategy game though. So what about Judgment? Well, next week we’re going to Gamescom (PM us on Discord if you want to meet up!), and after that - we’re g…
