- 25,000 COPIES SOLD!!! - 26 June 2026
25,000 Copies Sold in Less Than 3 Days Wow. I honestly do not even know what to say. How To Grow a Black Hole was never expected to become a hit, and I never imagined this many people would be playing it this soon after launch. The past few days have been hectic, exciting, overwhelming, and exhausting in the best possible way. First, thank you. Every person who bought the game, left a review, reported a bug, joined the Discord, shared feedback, or simply gave the game a chance helped make this happen. It genuinely means a lot. Stability, Performance, and Fixes Since launch, there have been issues with performance, compatibility, quality-of-life features, and plenty of smaller edge cases. Some were expected. Some definitely were not. My brother and I have been working as hard as we can since release to fix issues quickly. We have already pushed several updates, and we are still digging i…

- Post-launch Recap and Response - 24 June 2026
Hey everyone, First off, thank you. The game has grown way beyond what I ever expected, and everyone who has purchased it has genuinely helped make one of my dreams come true. Seeing people play something I made has been unreal, and I’m extremely grateful for the support, feedback, bug reports, and patience so far. That said, there are a few important things I want to address. AI Accusations I’ve seen a handful of accusations that the game, especially the UI, was made using AI. I want to be very clear: that is not true. The UI, code, art, and design were made by me. I have a background in web design and web development, which likely explains why the UI has the style it does. I completely understand why people are cautious about AI-generated games right now, but in this case, the accusation is false. I honestly thought the UI turned out pretty well, but I also know it can be improved, an…

I am really looking forward to seeing everyone on the leaderboard. Don't forget to have fun, experiment, optimize, and grow the biggest black hole you can. - Next Fest is over! - 22 June 2026
Hello everyone! First off, I just want to say that this past week has easily been one of the most exciting weeks of my life. I’ve always wanted to create games. Over the past few years, I’ve been working a lot, learning even more, and slowly trying to turn that dream into something real. And now, I finally did it. I made a game, and that game releases tomorrow at 10 AM. The game will be available for $3.99, with a 15% launch discount for the first week, bringing it down to $3.39! This whole thing still feels completely surreal to me. I never really expected this game to become popular, or honestly even be enjoyed by this many people. To me, it was just a dream, quite literally, that I decided to turn into reality because I thought it would be fun to make and fun to play. But as of writing this, the game has passed 15,000 wishlists, and it could very likely hit 20,000 today. Not only tha…

What started as a small side project I was making in my free time has now reached 8,000 wishlists, and at the current rate, it may even hit 10,000 wishlists tomorrow. That is honestly insane. I’m really excited, and also a bit nervous for everyone to get their hands on the full game this Tuesday. What’s Next?? Over the last two weeks, the game has been my main focus. I’ve been fixing bugs, reading community feedback, and writing down ideas that I want to add in future updates. Some of the things I’m planning include: Improved gameplay feedback!
