- So it's been 3 weeks, wow! - 15 September 2026
Hello! It is me, Lua "Computa" herself. I feel like writing a little reflective post + talk about my future plans. I would have waited for like the 1 month anniversary to do this, but I feel like I've been radio-silent for too long.First of all, thanks for playing, thanks for feedback, etc, etc!!! The game has been really successful in my eyes. I like that I can actively look for art, Youtube vids, reviews, whatever about the game, but THEN I can also just like not do that and feel like life hasn't changed too drastically. I've achieved the exact level of attention I'd like this game to have, I hope y'all will stick around. I'd also like to thank anyone that's made any fanart, or videos about the game, as well as thank the people who have commissioned me or donated to my Kofi since release! I really appreciate all of that! It's also been nice interacting with Internet mutuals and friend…
- The player hitbox update!!!! Wow, yay!!! - 7 September 2026
Finally here! Player now has 2 separate hitboxes, one for collisions with ground and one for collisions with enemies. The hitbox that relates to enemy collisions is place generally around each player character's torso area, whereas previous system required the hitbox to be covering the entirety of the player's lower half (causing hitbox issues with enemies from below). I also made this hitbox generally thinner, specifically for the other player characters of the tall-type (since they're all crazy skinny). I also changed the collider type for the ground collider, from a Box to Capsule. This prevents any weird issues with the very corners of platforms, since now you'll just slip off. With my playtesting it's been a pretty good change, but it also comes with its own little bits of jank to it. I think it's an improvement generally, but if the players get major issues with it, I may go back…
- Friday patch!! - 4 September 2026
I missed doing a patch for Thursday, and from there I was just gonna do a big ol update that includes the hitbox improvements I mentioned my plan for previously. But then I did a whole lot today, so boom here we have the final of these "daily" patches! Changes: - Lowered the lava a twee bit and gave it a proper cool down time before it rises again - Fixed pause screen issue where some character's could have their abilities triggered during (Aka Scat and The Sniper's special abilities) - Fixed audio issue relating to the upward-moving plates not being assigned a mixer (smh me) - Made Hell's alt-theme (the frozen over one) less hideous. Be careful who you call ugly in High School! Additions: - Added an off-screen pointer that appears in any level that contains the moving-upward platforms, just in case they send you off-screen and struggle with finding where you are - Added 3 new endless m…
- Wednesday patchnotes :PPP - 2 September 2026
- Fixed audio volume issues for Endless and DJ Septic's Trial - Gave the cannon part of the Heart Cannons an outline - Changed the sprite for the Heart Cannon's eyes to be more COOL and ANGULAR Yeah not much today, I've been out all day lol. Thursday I have some slightly bigger plans for iirc :P Okay byee!! Have a nice day/night
- Tuesday's patch notes!! - 1 September 2026
Changes: - Shinies should now no longer be able able to spawn in places where the weight plates (in their default positions) would hide them - Made some minor adjustments to enemy hitboxes. Though really it seems the hitboxes I really need to address are the player's, though that's gonna take some work. My plan is to have 2 hitboxes, 1 for collision with ground and 1 for collision with enemies/shinies/etc. I'll hopefully do this soon-ish. - Fixed the spelling of 'frustrating' on the disclaimer screen - Made the sun enemy's arrow indicator a little less transparent and thickened the arrow outline slightly. This is to improve their visibility in the Holy Trial levels! - Made level 'Vs Mega Puss' less annoying, also quarantined it to the second variety course due to its difficulty (in comparison to the other sky levels) - Removed the level 'Vs Big Angry Virus' entirely for being annoying a…
- RNG BEGONE + Other things - 31 August 2026
RNG BEGONE: The Dragon Dogs from the Holy Trial and DJ Septic's rhythm laser blasts have been changed to not use RNG. These are the instances of RNG that I think only hurt them as mechanics. - The laser blasts now come in only 2 formations that it switches between consistently, meaning you can plan ahead of time where not to be standing (which is very important given how quick their indicator goes). - Dragon Dog's now moved in fixed positions always. Easier to predict and results in no unfair moments of getting hit Disclaimer: Added a disclaimer to the game. There's not really much in the game that I think would be dangerous for epileptic players, but there are just some parts that make me kinda scared. I decided to just play it safe and add a little seizure warning. This then became a general disclaimer screen, including that warning as well as 2 other pieces of advice for the game I t…
- Judge level design rivison again + Explaining the plan for the next week or so - 29 August 2026
Today I watched my good streamer pal Velovetre play The Judge's fight in Astral Court DX! Uh... it felt like being an abusive parent watching their malnourished, depressed, unmotivated son's Little League game. I knew people said it was like hard, but SEEING someone play it really put things into perspective. Lesson learned: watch people play your game. I mean I already knew that as like advice, but I'm really seeing the value in it. Seeing my friend get their balls busted over and over made me very quickly revise the level design of The Judge's fight to make things even fairer than I already had to make it in the nerf patch. Now here's a general update. Got a big list of things to fix or update. Originally I was gonna release these fixes in a big update at the end of next week or something, but I think that's dumb! So I'll be releasing patches as I make these changes. I'll also post my…
- The boss nerfing update! - 27 August 2026
Voila, your demands have been met! This update makes the Boss Trials either easier or fairer. Here are the exact changes:Most of the starting levels of DJ Septic's Trial have been altered. The later levels don't really change, but I reduced some shiny countsThe weird thin platforms in Demeanor's Trial have been changed to these cool spiky weight plates, that give the player much more room to work with. I was gonna do some level design changes also, but the arena change already helped the fight out a lot.Mr Tickle's Trial has general level design adjustments + I removed the quick-swipe attack as it's kinda bullshit and RNG-based anywayFor The Judge I lowered the shiny counts of the 1st and 9th level, and the more overstimulating levels have been changed to remove some elements that caused said overstimulatingTo those who want me to include the un-nerfed versions as extras, I've included t…
- Day 1 reflection - 25 August 2026
Woah... DAMN what a day it has been! It's been so nice to finally release this game and see all of my friends like talk about and support it, I feel amazinggg!! I'd just like to thank you all to everyone that's played the game, enjoyed it, voiced any critiques, or made fanworks of it!Throughout the day I've made a few small fixes. Fixed a couple of bugs, though mainly just correcting any cutscene-related blemishes like spelling and such. I also changed the game's genre wording on the Steam and Itch page. Quite a few bullet hell fans did not like the fact I used "bullet hell" to describe the game and voiced their issue with it, so I've now changed the game to be referred to as a "precision platformer" instead of a "bullet hell platformer". So uh sorry about that lol, have this:Anyway the next issue I'm addressing is the difficulty balance! A lot of people are having trouble with the boss…
- Another small fix update - 25 August 2026
- Fixed more textbox and grammar stuff in the cutscenes - That's it for now lol
- Quick small update - 25 August 2026
- Shortened an inmate character name in the Aqua Trial's cutscene due to textbox issues - Fixed some boss-fight related sound effects, in relation to how they behave when the game pauses

- Development update, 1 week and 1 day until release! - 16 August 2026
This might be a very messy little devlog, I just got back from clubbin' lol :3So, almost a week until the game's release, huh? SCARY! Nah I'm kidding, late-development has been going swell. I still got a bit to do though, but it's all super manageable now. I've finished like 2 big things I needed to do, now I need to do some assets for the pause screen, add some guest background characters, do any sorta bug-fixing, and just general final touches.I've been posting some cutscene previews recently to my socials! You should check those out. They've been doing very well on Youtube and Instagram, and the support from both strangers and friends has been amazing. Hell it made me quite happy today (when I was out this night) when 2 of my friends were talking about the previews and being like really nice and supportive about em (hi Harry, hi Devin if you two are reading ^-^). OH and, more general…
- Astral Court DX comes out August 25th! - 6 July 2026
View the release date announcement trailer here:I'm very happy to announce a (hopefully) solid release date for the game! I'm so excited to release this thing!Last month I got done about everything I wanted to do with menus and UI and such. I still have some left over stuff to do, both from June and also May (I know so lazy of me grr!!!). This month of July is focused on getting all the cutscenes done which... I may get done REALLY quick actually. Like it's only the 6th day of this month and 3 of the cutscenes are practically done, with like 7 more to go (not counting the cool animated intro I need to get back to working on also). Hopefully I can can all of those cutscenes done really early, so I can spend more time on my leftover work + general extra polish and stuff. I'm also kinda worried because I remembered that Steam has to approve of a game's final build, which can take up to lik…
- PROGRESS REPORT - THE FINAL STRETCH - 17 May 2026
Heyy, Lua here! We're getting very close to the release window for Astral Court DX, that being the months between June and August. As things are looking currently, I think I've secured an August release but more on that later. So, hows the game going? Well, the campaign is almost done! All of its content is complete, with 5 trials and 4 bosses to go through! The main thing is just polish and cutscenes. The plan for the rest of May is to get all of the boss trials finished, with them having all of their in-fight cutscenes done. I'll also get the game as polished as possible during this month as well. June will be mainly dedicated to getting all the menus done, along with any settings that need to be included (volume sliders, changing resolution, etc). I'll also dedicate time to create a system for efficiently making cutscenes for the game's campaign. From there (July and August) I'll be sl…
- ITS ALIIIIIVE - 2 April 2026
Heyyy, it's Lua Computa in the flesh!!! Just wanted to say I'm so excited to have this game on Steam, it feels so surreal! I really don't have too much to say at the moment in terms of the game, currently I'm doing somewhat spoiler-y stuff. Uh make sure you follow me on Instagram or Bluesky for decently frequent updates (Bluesky is definitely best for updates, I like posting wips on there). Yeah yeah! Also thank you to anyone that reads this and has wishlisted the game, I hope the release won't dissapoint! If you've never heard of Astral Court before, you can play the original gamejam version of the game as a taster for what the final game shall offer:https://lua-computa.itch.io/astral-courthouseK byeee, have a good day/night!!
