• Demo update 0.3.4 - 6 July 2026

  Hello dear Delverians! We've reached July and that change of the month brings along joyous news. For the 0.3.4 update is finally out and ready for you to test to your hearts content. :) Here are some of the highlights of the update.New terrain powers! This update introduces 10 new terrain powers for you to discover during your journeys through the Dungeons of Delveria. You'll get to experience larger variety of builds, which will hopefully help you experience the game in new ways.Torches are in! There is a new torch item which adds some visual variety to the dungeon and acts as a light source outside of your field of view.Sound effects and visual effects. There are now sound effects associated with powers and their effects. The effects will hopefully make it easier to understand what is happening as you explore the dungeon.   Hello dear Delverians,Here at Delveria Games the Finnish Midsummer is in full swing. That hasn't prevented me from working on Dungeons of Delveria though, and the current list of items that are on the developing table include exciting stuff such as:New terrain powers. This is taking a bit more time than intended but I hope to have around 10 new ones ready soon. This would add more variety to the runs and for those of you who manage to reach to the end of the demo.Torches! I would like to include torches to the game, which would act as additional light sources when the player has a line of sight to the torch. They would of course have some interesting terrain shaping options as well.Sound effects. The first set of sound effects is likely making its way to the game as soon as during the next update. • Demo Update 0.3.3 - 11 June 2026

  Hey everyone, I am happy to announce that the balance patch 0.3.3 is here. It should make the gameplay experience more challenging and hopefully encourage the usage of the terrain powers which make Dungeons of Delveria the game that it is. The update also fixes some bugs, such as making the Dark Curse terrain power available for unlocking again. You can also navigate with mouse to tiles which have been explored but are not in line of sight. Another one worth mentioning is that you are now able to prepare sigils and make them unprepared with a mouse click. I would love to hear your thoughts about the new game balance. • Patch 0.3.2 is now live - 24 May 2026

  Hello dear Delverians, I have now set the patch 0.3.2 with ASCII update live on the main branch. This new version of the patch also includes performance tweaks, the game turns should now flow much more smoothly and there should be no "warps" because the camera doesn't update fast enough. Or anything silly like that. The heal before auto-exploring starts is now more or less instant to reduce wait time between auto-explore usages. So you shouldn't have to wait as much anymore. This patch also fixes a crash when loading a game introduced in the previous beta branch update. Next stepsThe next patch 0.3.3 will likely focus on trying to improve the game balance and hopefullly there will again be new things to shape and interact with. So look forward to that. • Beta branch update #2 - 24 May 2026

  Hello dear Delverians, I just updated the beta branch with some adjustments which will hopefully prevent a warp bug that some players were reporting from occurring again. There is now also a system which should let you know if the save you are trying to continue is not compatible and you should get a message asking if you want to delete the save and start a new game. If nothing new comes up, I will probably set the build live later today (Sunday) or on Monday. There has been a lot of valuable feedback given so please keep that coming. • ASCII mode in the beta branch - 22 May 2026

  Hello dear Delverians! The development of Dungeons of Delveria continues at full speed. Unfortunately I have been sick this week and haven't had a chance to do all the improvements that I would have wanted to, but I wanted to give you something to try if you would like to give feedback on the development of the game. If you go to the Steam betas section there should be a new beta branch of the demo with the ASCII display for you to play with. I would like to polish it before adding it to the main branch, so if you are curious you can test it there. The ASCII patch also adds a 1 hp regeneration when the player is resting. This hopefully lowers the need of having so many healing items in the game. There is a currently known bug where at times the player character can warp several tiles which seems to occur more consistently the deeper in the dungeon you go. So if you play the beta branch,…

• Demo Update 0.3.1 - New Biomes Are Here! - 17 May 2026

  Hello dear Delverians, The demo update 0.3.1 is out today. And oh boy how much has changed since the demo was released. It almost feels bad to call this a minor update but I would like to reserve future version 0.4.0 for when I release something even more impressive. So that needs to wait. New featuresA minimap, which you can now toggle from Gameplay menu to show which areas of the floor you have explored already.2 new biomes, one with ice theme and another with fire theme, to with new surprises to discoverNew environmental interactions. • Demo Release 0.3.0 - 12 May 2026

  Hello dear Delverians!The Steam Demo of Dungeons of Delveria has now been released! For the first time on Steam you can download the game, give it a try and let me know how do you feel about it in its current shape and form. This is a big milestone for me as a solo developer as a larger pool of players is now going to be experiencing the game. The intent is to keep releasing regular updates to the demo until the release of the full game, so you can see your feedback helping to shape the game, just like terrain powers can shape the dungeon in the game. For the first time, the game includes a proper tutorial which should hopefully help players who are newer to traditional roguelikes to get into the game and to understand its core mechanics. • A new trailer and demo announcement! - 9 May 2026

  Hello dear Delverians, I am bringing to you today a new trailer! With this small addition, the game and the Steam page are both free of AI-generated graphics. I have been hard at work with making new features for the game, which I hope to let you experience soon when the demo of Dungeons of Delveria releases on Tuesday 12th of May on Steam! The demo will include cool new features such as a Book of Sigils, where you can draw your own imagery for the terrain powers that you discover from the game world. The sigils that you inscribe get added to your Book of Sigils, where you can simultaneously prepare 10 of your favorites to tactically mix and match them to your benefit.
