Brushwork 1.1.9 — community-feedback update: Sets/Trials shelf progress now records correctly (level records were stored under the public puzzle id but looked up by raw content id, so solved Sets boards never marked complete and Trials stayed locked; existing solves reappear retroactively); Steam Cloud hardening so a reinstall can no longer wipe campaign progress (uploads now always follow an initial cloud pull, and progress files missing locally are restored from the cloud instead of deleting the cloud copy); Medium/Hard runtime puzzle generation moved to a background thread with a Cancel button (no more white-screen freeze); Simplified Chinese localization now correctly calls the puzzle type 数墙 (Nurikabe) instead of 数回 (Slitherlink); includes the multi-monitor primary-display placement fix

After a long period of developing a game based on a puzzle that I have really enjoyed learning about and playing over the last 6 months, Brushwork is now live on Steam with a 20% off for launch week. Brushwork is a Nurikabe puzzle game in the spirit of Sudoku, where you are given a board with clues and must fill in cells to create islands subject to certain conditions. Forty-eight lessons walk you through the rules and the techniques one idea at a time. After the path there are challenge boards, mastery sets, and daily and weekly boards on shared seeds and your solve time will go on leaderboards to compare with everyone else. The hint system is there if you need it as part of the learning and solving process.
