Open their profile, pick Aquarium and hit the heart. Your own profile shows how many you've collected Arcade • Scores now show the top ten, and the list scrolls • The Friends ranking properly portrays your ranking amongst friends now Thanks for fishing!
- September 3rd 2026 Patch Notes - 3 September 2026
It's been nearly a month since Early Access came out, thank you to all of you who've been with us up til now :). Arcade • Steam leaderboards! Hit Scores to see how you stack up against friends and the world • Fixed a Memory Matching lock-up and a grey-box fish in Guppy Fish Fish grades We've been slowly tuning grades since launch and we're now at a place that feels healthy. This time it's a small change aimed at new players: you'll see more variety in the grades you catch early on, without changing how long the full journal takes. Other • You can sort the bag by rarity or by grade • Fixed a lost fish when closing mid-catch, and stray invites from other games showing up on your pier Thanks for fishing!
- August 24th, 2026 Patch Notes: Game Fish - 24 August 2026
It's been a week since the last update and two weeks since launch. Thank you so much for playing! Pacing We spent a good chunk of this last week on pacing. Even after our initial changes, we still felt the progression was a bit too easy and then too steep towards the end. We tuned some numbers so the progression should feel more gradual. You'll notice two new things in your journal. Each fish now has a Mastery that grows the more of that fish you catch, and the better you know a fish, the more of its grades you'll start reeling in. And if you've been at it a while without finding a grade you're missing, Grade Luck builds in your favor until it finally pays off. The catch will let you know when it does. Arcade The Arcade is open! Head to the new button on your sidebar for two games, Guppy Fish and Memory Matching. Play on your own or challenge someone at your pier with a right-click. Not…
- Safe Harbor - 17 August 2026
It's been officially one week since launch! Thank you so much for playing and showing your support. Here are today's patch notes! Aquarium The Aquarium seemed to be a popular addition so we gave it the respect it deserves. It now lives in its own tab on the profile card rather than crammed under the stats, so you can truly show off your impressive collection. • You can now name the fish in your aquarium. Click one, hit the pencil, and that Bluegill is Bailey from now on. Visitors see the name too. UI / ReadabilityWe really like the cozy aesthetic and the coloring, but balancing that with readability, especially at this window size, has been quite the challenge. For now, we've toned down some of the text and put an outline behind the colorful bits so you don't have to strain your eyes. If it's still too hard to read, or if you feel it's lost some of its charm, please let us know your tho…
- Bragging Rights - 16 August 2026
Your journal, your gear, and everything you've bought are untouched. Aquarium The big feature of this patch. You can now show off your best catches instead of selling them. • Right-click a catch and send it to your Aquarium. It leaves your bag and frees the slot • Start with a fish bowl and grow into a proper tank. Bigger vessels hold more fish to brag about, and you can name yours • Click a fish in your aquarium to see its full story • Visit a friend's aquarium from their profile and see what they've been hoarding • Not enough? Right-click any catch and Show in Chat to brag about it right there on the dock • Changed your mind? Release a fish and you get its full FP value, same as selling. It asks first, and asks louder if it's a Legendary UI / QOL Some UI adjustments were made. • The exit button was previously hidden if Show Background was enabled. It now shows over the background. We…
- Day 4 Patch Notes - Pier Chums - 13 August 2026
• A few new achievements added to give players some additional goals, including usage of chums • Docks are public by default now. Existing players' settings will not change. This can easily be changed back to private or friends only but we are making this change in hopes of a more social fishing experience. • Update friends list and browse tab more frequently to show stale data less often • Fixed infinite chum bug
- Day 3 Patch: Star Catch - 13 August 2026
Lock the fish you want to keep, sell the rest in one go, and a batch of multiplayer fixes. Your journal, your gear, and everything you've bought are untouched. • Right-click a fish to lock it — a star marks it, and Sell All leaves your starred catches alone • Sell mode now takes several fish at once: tap the ones you want, watch the total add up, sell them in one go • Selling in bulk warns you if there's a Legendary in the pile, for the trophy you forgot to lock • Friends playing a different game on Steam now show as online instead of vanishing from your list • Friend profiles open from the Friends tab even when they're not on your dock — you'll both need this update • A few rides were renamed to avoid trademark issues.
- Day 2 Patch: Smoother Waters - 12 August 2026
A pass on how the collection paces out, better payouts at the top end, and a batch of multiplayer fixes. Your journal, your gear, and everything you've bought are untouched. Progression The pier was heavily front-loaded. You could catch most of the fish in less than a day and then hit a giant wall for the last few. The journey runs a little longer now, but it's a lot smoother. • Epics and Legendaries now pay what their rarity deserves • Journal counts grades by default. Your number will look different, but nothing was lost • Bag upgrades cost far less early on Social • Chum lasts a full hour for the same price and anyone in the lobby can use it • Using chum announces who paid for it, so the lobby knows who to thank • Invites now work when you have the game closed • Chat filter added: Everyone, Friends Only, or Mute All
- Day One Patch — Economy Rebalance - 10 August 2026
The pier's economy grew up fast today. Nothing you already own is affected, everything you bought is yours. Added more incremental upgrades to the game. Previously, you could hit the max tier upgrades in a few hours. We added two new tiers and updated the pricing so it's a bit more of a journey to complete your collection! • New gear: Bronze and Platinum worms & hooks join the ladder. Six tiers total, each one a real upgrade • Gear, pet, ride, and clothing prices rebalanced so progression lasts more than an afternoon • Pets now come in five tiers, from first-day buddies to more expensive pets like the elusive penguin! • Chum repriced to match; Trophy Chum's description now says what it actually does • Jellyfish were selling for ~4x what they should, reeled back in line • Fixed the cast animation playing twice at launch and on other players in multiplayer
