- Dev Diary - A new look and update on game progress - 24 August 2026
Hello, Investigators! As you will have noticed, we have changed the keyart to reflect better the themes and mood of the game being a Noir Detective game set during the cold war. Alongside these changes, I wanted to give you an update on how the game is coming along and a sense of just how big it's become. As it stands, Green Mist over Portland has over 200 events to unlock across 60 locations, with more than 50 characters to encounter along the way. The story spans from Cynthia's earliest days as a young spy through to deep conspiracies and murders at the height of the Cold War. On top of that, there are over 100 documents waiting to be found in the MI6 Archive, plus full glossary entries about the real-world events that inspired the story for those of you who like to dig into every detail. Some of these glossary entries include material straight from top-secret documents that have sinc…
- Dev Diary - A New Mechanic for Identifying Characters - 13 July 2026
Hello, Investigators! Our development work is continuing steadily, and today we would like to share more details about a new ability that Delphine has gained in Green Mist Over Portland. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRV_B6ImF6k As shown in the preview video, in addition to further polishing and optimizing the previous UI, the most important improvement is the introduction of a new character identification mechanic. Now, as long as you correctly select all participants involved in a conversation within a scene, including strangers, Delphine will be able to detect partial echoes and perceive the true order of the dialogue. The twist is that, until the information of a “Stranger” has been fully unlocked, you still won’t be able to hear what they are saying. We believe this new mechanic will make conversations feel more natural and logical, while also making the process of identifying ch…
- Steam Next Fest Recap and What Comes Next - 29 June 2026
Hello investigators, Steam Next Fest has now come to an end, and I just want to say thank you. It has been wonderful to see so many people playing the demo, discussing the story, streaming their playthroughs, and sharing their thoughts. The amount of support from players went far beyond what I expected, and I was also really happy to see the game included by several YouTubers and gaming outlets in their lists of favorite demos from the festival. That truly means a lot. I’ve also been reading through the feedback carefully. Many players were happy to see familiar faces such as Tweety, Stanley, and Lune return, and I’m glad that the back-and-forth between Delphine and Cynthia landed well. The new features, such as visiting and exploring locations, were also seen as strong additions to the experience. A lot of players also seemed to enjoy how quickly the story gets moving, without a long i…

Today marks the official release of the Green Mist over Portland demo, and we are still incredibly excited to finally share it with everyone. As mentioned in our previous announcement, this demo is not able to show too much of the story content from the full version. Within the limited scope of the demo, we chose to focus more on the puzzle-solving experience, while also giving you an early look at the important investigation and information-search mechanics that will play a key role in the full game. That said, we want to reassure everyone that the story will remain one of the core focuses of the final game. We know very well what many of you are looking forward to. In the few short hours since the demo went live, we have already received a lot of valuable feedback from players. Many of you have pointed out issues related to puzzle guidance, onboarding, and several bugs. After reviewin…
