About this game
Why do people do the things they do? You play as a little girl trying to find her place in a society that forces conformity, but you're different, and they don't like it. Your Mind is Your Inventory Your inventory isn't filled with keys or crowbars. Instead, you collect social skills . You use these to interact with The Others but it’s not always successful. Using the wrong skill causes them to become aggressive, volatile, or offended. This, in turn, has a big effect on you. The Weight of Perception Your experience is governed by three shifting mental states: Overwhelm , Paranoia , and Dissociation . Too many negative interactions bring these to critical levels. They distort your perception, unlock different branches of the story, and can ultimately lead to dark endings. The Voice Within You aren't alone. An Alter Ego follows you around to amplify your biggest fears and anxieties. Don't trust everything it says. Three Realms Gameplay shifts between: The Real World - a black & white society. They are unable to see color and can’t perceive how or why the protagonist is different but they view her as broken . In return, they all look the same to the protagonist as she suffers from face blindness and can't distinguish between individuals.
