  The Kill Your Friends playtest is coming to an end.A huge thank you to everyone who played, shared feedback, reported bugs, and helped spread the word. Seeing people actually play the game, discover strategies, and create their own chaotic moments has been incredibly valuable during development.Over the course of the playtest, I've added and improved a lot of things based on feedback, including:New game modes like AllianceNew weapons including the Katana and RevolverThe first version of the progression systemMultiple conditions active in the same roundUI improvements and new gameplay feedbackMap and lighting improvementsNumerous smaller balance, gameplay, and quality-of-life changesThere's still plenty more to do before release, but this playtest has helped me get much closer to the game I want Kill Your Friends to be.Thank you for playing and supporting the game!See you at launch.

• Multiple Conditions & Open Playtest - 24 September 2026

  A new update is here, and the playtest is now open to everyone!Multiple ConditionsConditions have been reworked.Previously, only one condition could be active during a round. Now, there is a chance for up to four conditions to be active at the same time.This can lead to some much more chaotic combinations. You might get a single condition, several conditions stacked together, or occasionally a completely wild round with four active at once.The Playtest Is Now OpenThe Kill Your Friends playtest is now open to everyone on Steam.If you've been following development but haven't tried it yet, now is a great time to jump in and see how the game has been evolving.More updates and new content are on the way as development continues.Join the playtest and let me know what you think!

• New Weapon, UI Improvements & More - 18 September 2026

  Another update for Kill Your Friends is here!New Weapon: RevolverThe revolver has been added to the weapon pool.It's another option to keep an eye out for when the weapons change between rounds.Improved ReloadsI've updated the reload sounds and timings across the weapons to make reloading feel more responsive and give clearer audio feedback during a match.UI ImprovementsThe in-game UI has also received some updates:HitmarkersKill notificationsMoney gain notificationsThese should make it easier to understand what's happening during the chaos of a match and give clearer feedback when you get a kill or earn money.Mansion LightingI've also made some lighting changes to the Mansion map to improve its overall look.More updates are on the way as development continues. • Alliance, Katana & Mansion Rework - 11 September 2026

  This week's update adds a brand-new game mode, a new weapon, and some changes to one of the maps!AllianceYou have allies. You just don't know who they are.At the start of the match, each player is given a mask. Find the other players with the same mask as you and work together to eliminate everyone else.The catch? You only have two minutes.You'll need to figure out who you can trust before it's too late.New Weapon: KatanaThe katana has been added to the weapon pool.Get up close, take a risk, and see how many players you can cut down before they see you coming.Mansion ReworkI've also reworked parts of the Mansion layout to improve the flow of the map and make encounters more interesting.This is still an ongoing playtest, so I'll continue tweaking things based on how people play.Jump into the playtest and try out Alliance!

  A first version of the progression system is now in Kill Your Friends!You can now earn money by playing full matches and spend it on lootboxes containing cosmetics.💰 Earn money by playing Complete a full match of 15 rounds to earn in-game money. The better you play, the more you can work towards unlocking new cosmetics.🎁 Buy lootboxes Use the money you earn in matches to purchase lootboxes and expand your cosmetic collection.👕 More ways to unlock cosmetics are coming The lootbox system is only one part of the planned progression. The full game will have additional ways to earn and unlock cosmetics outside of lootboxes.🚫 No real-money purchases There will be no RMT (real-money transactions) for cosmetics.
