Short description
A free, story-driven game about a truck driver on the Road of Life. Deliver supplies to besieged Leningrad in the iconic “polutorka” truck, brave blizzards, repair your vehicle, and discover the stories of people who need your help.
About this game
The Road of Life Experience life behind the wheel of the legendary “polutorka” truck during the Siege of Leningrad in World War II, when every journey could save lives. In Road of Life , you take on the role of a driver of the iconic Soviet light truck that became a symbol of hope and survival. Your mission is to deliver vital supplies across Lake Ladoga—the only route connecting the besieged city to the outside world. Ahead lie vast expanses of ice, biting winds, blizzards, and the constant threat of shelling and air raids. Every journey puts your endurance, concentration, and courage to the test. Make Your Way Across Lake Ladoga Ice beneath your wheels. A treacherous road ahead. And, beyond it, the shore you are striving to reach. Drive your truck across challenging stretches of the route, watch the road, and navigate around ice ridges and dangerous openings in the frozen lake. Along the way, discover fascinating facts about the history of the Road of Life. Snow clings to the windshield, and the route disappears into a whiteout. Switch on the wipers and keep moving. These simple actions are part of the demanding daily work of a driver. Discover the People Behind the Stories War brings together people from all walks of life. Talk to them, hear their stories, and make decisions in moments when finding the right words can be especially difficult. Some characters are inspired by the lives of real people. Keep Your Truck Running Reaching your destination takes more than driving skill—you will also need to learn how to repair your truck. A breakdown can bring your journey to a halt halfway across the lake. Monitor your truck’s condition, identify faults, and carry out repairs in the field. Feel the satisfaction of hearing the engine roar back to life after you have managed to get it running again. Historical authenticity The game was developed with a strong commitment to historical authenticity. Carefully recreated environments, details of everyday life, and the atmosphere of the period draw you deeper into the experience. Professional voice performances and an evocative musical score bring emotional depth to the unfolding events. With deep respect for hist…
