• Patch Notes 3.0.59 - 10 April 2026

  This build fixes a pesky issue where certain weekly challenges will fail to reload if they are exited in the middle of the game and then re-entered. It also fixes a bug reported in multiplayer that was believed to be leading to occasional desyncs.

• Build 3.0.56: Multiplayer Bug Fixes, Promo Card Bug Fixes - 6 January 2026

  This update fixes a bug in multiplayer that was happening when the AI took over for a player that left. Also fixes an obscure case for Last Stand that could cause a freeze.

• Build 3.0.55 Multiplayer Bug Fixes, Multiplayer Bug Diagnosis Tools - 10 June 2025

  We've fixed two major bugs in multiplayer that were happening when players would put the game into the background during a live match, and added a system to better recreate multiplayer bugs when they are reported by players.

  We've enabled the ability to do live events and make certain IAP free for periods of time, as well as have patched a couple of bugs and put in more robust multiplayer debugging capabilities.

• Flight is released! - 12 February 2024

  Evolution: Flight, an expansion for Evolution, introduces flying species into the ecosystem. Now your species can swoop on unsuspecting prey from above, fly away from predators, or soar to a new location when food is scarce. Flight opens an array of strategic options as you've always got the option to make a flying species. The Cliffs introduce a new food source only accessible to Flying Species. Gain control of the skies and the Cliffs are yours alone. 6 new Traits add thematic (and seemingly overpowered!) Trait combinations when paired with Flight, but many come with tradeoffs. A flock of Brood Parasites with Nesting gives extra Population and Food, but leaves your Species defenseless. Will the ability to fly propel you to new heights, or will it bring your downfall?

• The final Trait Pack in Evolution has arrived - 30 August 2023

  AntiSocial Species refuse to join the group, and find their own Food where the herd doesn't go. An Apex Predator adds a Carnivore and massive Size, but is unable to attack small Species. A Carnivore may attack Quills once, however it will never make that mistake again. You can add any combination of these cards to AI games, or make your own deck for Pass & Play and Private games. You can also add one to public multiplayer games, which is then added into the combined deck everyone plays from. In addition, when you invite folks to your private game, they are able to also use any purchases or expansions you have active.

• The Daily Challenge is released, multiplayer is updated. - 15 March 2023

  This is a fun one. Each day, you get one attempt to set a high score the Daily Challenge. The Daily Challenge is a one-round user-designed challenge with Cards from any Promo Pack or Expansion. It only takes a few minutes to play, and gives everyone a shot at the leaderboard, you don't have to grind to make it. In addition, there's a Challenge Editor feature in there to create new Daily Challenges. Create your best challenge and submit it, and others can play it and rate it. The highest rated challenges will then become a Daily Challenge for others to test themselves against. We've also updated our multiplayer with a new backend system that we hope will be much more robust at handling folks dropping games and timing out, along with other various bug fixes. • New Multiplayer System and Async is Released - 25 September 2020

  Asynchronous Play is out of beta! Asynchronous means turns can happen whenever you're able. Get interrupted by your annoying boss? Get back to the game after the zoom call. Want to play with your friend in Australia but it's 3 in the morning there? No problem. Play anywhere, anytime without needing to be online at the same time. We've heard your concerns on making sure multiplayer is bulletproof.   Three more new traits have arrived at the Watering Hole, to complete Promo Pack 1. We've heard your concerns about buying Cards individually, so we've put all of the Promo Cards together in a discounted pack. You will get the discount and the bundle for the remaining cards even if you've already purchased Venom or Gigantism. These traits are completely optional, but will help make the game experience fresh for our longtime players, in both singleplayer and multiplayer. Timid: Sometimes being careful pays off!   Our biggest addition since launch: New Promo Traits are now available for purchase in the game. In a balanced ecosystem, each new Trait impacts all other Traits as well. You'll need new strategies to survive against creatures using these mighty traits. Buy them on Steam, use them on any platform.
