About this game
Deep Space Observatory is an idle game about exploring the starry sky and developing your own observatory. Upgrade your equipment and gradually automate data collection — or keep manual control and conduct observations yourself. Develop Your Observatory Unlock technologies in a sprawling tech tree. Increase scanning speed and range, master new observation methods, and equip your platforms with specialized instruments. Place platforms where they will be most effective, and gradually turn a small observatory into an automated research facility. Start a New Cycle with New Advantages Complete the observation program and enter prestige mode. Earn permanent discovery cards, knowing their cost and rarity — but not their exact effects. Every card you acquire becomes a tetromino module that you can place on the observatory board. Build your own combination of bonuses, experiment with module placement, and change your strategy for the next cycle. A Living Star Map Each cycle generates a new map of 2048 stars. Observation platforms are placed right on the map, turning exploration into a strategic puzzle. 4 Types of Scientific Data Study stars with four types of observations: from measuring brightness to analyzing spectra and gravitational signatures. Vintage Space Explore the starry sky in the atmosphere of classic science fiction. Tune CRT effects — noise, scanlines, vignette, and chromatic aberration — and choose your own take on retro aesthetics.
