- Update 0.3.4 - 18 September 2026
Update 0.3.4 Moving portraits, first test We have started on animated champion portraits. This build carries the first clips, made to test how they look before we do the final version for every champion and skin. Champions move in their frame on the board during a match. In the deck builder, a champion tile plays its clip while your cursor is on it. SETTINGS > ANIMATED SKINS turns the board clips off and keeps the still art. INTERFACE MOTION off turns all of them off. These are test clips. Tell us what you think through FEEDBACK in the main menu. Practice bot Gladiator now plans its whole turn instead of one move at a time. A buff and the hit it sets up count together. Gladiator reads what your side can hit back for next turn, and weighs a kill in reach or a champion in danger more than chip damage. Gladiator throws back opening cards that do nothing for it at the mulligan. Soldier no l…
- Anachron Coliseum 0.3.2 - 15 September 2026
Anachron Coliseum 0.3.2 Four new languages. The whole game is now playable in ten. New languages German Brazilian Portuguese Japanese Korean Everything is translated: menus, card text, keyword tooltips, champion lore, the rules page and the voice subtitles. Switch in SETTINGS > LANGUAGE, or leave it on SYSTEM and the game follows your Steam language. Small fixes Japanese and Korean text now uses proper Japanese and Korean fonts on every screen. Found a wrong word or a line that reads badly in your language? Send it from FEEDBACK in the main menu. A native speaker's eye is worth more than ours here.
- Update 0.3.1 - 14 September 2026
Update 0.3.1 A small update for two problems reported by players who are far from the servers. Deck builder Champions and cards added to a deck no longer disappear a few seconds later. On a slow connection the game could take an older copy of the deck from the server and quietly throw away what you had just picked. The builder now keeps every pick you make. A deck you create while your connection is slow is saved every time. Tutorial The deck-building part of the tutorial no longer gets stuck on "pick 4 champions" when the game has all 4 on screen. This was the same problem as above. Profile Equipping two items one after the other no longer flips the first one back. An item equipped while offline stays equipped and is saved the next time you connect. If the tutorial froze for you before, it works now. Thank you for the reports.
- Anachron Coliseum 0.3.0 - 13 September 2026
Anachron Coliseum 0.3.0 Your account New ACCOUNT section in SETTINGS. Your custom decks are now saved on your account, so they follow you if you reinstall. Play on your phone too: get a code in SETTINGS > ACCOUNT and type it on the other device to join the two into one account. Progress and decks add up. DELETE ACCOUNT now waits 14 days before it runs. If you change your mind, sign in and pick KEEP ACCOUNT. In the arena Hover a card in your hand and its full text opens right above it. The old CARD DETAIL panel in the side rail is gone. El Cid's two swords now come in from opposite sides. Fixes The game goes silent while the window is minimised. The reward ladder lists only what the game hands out. Tiers with two rewards no longer overlap. The Standard sleeve shows the real card back on your profile. The menu could come back blank after skipping an animation. Fixed. The emote wheel stays…
- Anachron Coliseum 0.2.12 - 7 September 2026
A small hotfix. FIXATE was holding chained champions to far more than it should, and one card could not be played at all while it was on. FIXATE only holds your damage now FIXATE used to force everything a chained champion did onto the one enemy at the end of the chain. From this build it only does that for the parts of a card that deal damage. Every other part picks its target the way it normally would. Forced Negotiation can be played while you are chained again. The shield points move to any enemy you like, and the 3 damage still has to land on the champion you are chained to. Shielding, healing, curing a champion, handing a status across the table and revealing a hand all pick freely. Cards that hit two different enemies are unchanged. Colada's Dance and And a Bottle of Rum still put their first hit on the champion you are chained to and lose the second one. The FIXATE tooltip and t…
- Hotfix 0.2.10 - 7 September 2026
Hotfix 0.2.10 A small update that closes a few ways a match could get stuck or behave oddly. Thanks to everyone who sent reports. Matches The Extra Action pick could hold a match open forever if the player never chose a champion. It now runs on the turn clock: if the turn ends first, the pick closes and play moves on. A card whose first hit wins the match no longer asks you for a second target afterwards. The Extra Action button only appears when one of your champions can actually take it. The end-of-turn reminder no longer names champions who have nobody left to Struggle against, for example when the whole enemy line is under VEIL. Cancelling a card you were still deciding on now clears up properly for both players online. Rules THORNS no longer uses or spends CHARGE. CHARGE is for your champion's own next damage action, and a reflected hit is not one. EMPOWER and WEAKEN still count on…
- Anachron Coliseum 0.2.9 - 7 September 2026
Practice Practice matches now ask how hard the opponent should play. Recruit plays whatever comes to hand, Soldier thinks about its move and still gets plenty of them wrong, and Gladiator plays the best move it can find. The practice opponent looks ahead before it moves, so it no longer burns a turn on a card it was never allowed to play. The difficulty you pick is remembered for next time. Reading the board SHIELD and WARD are now read off the champion's health bar. The points stack on the bar and are counted on a badge at the end of it, and the badge cracks apart as they are spent. Neither takes a slot in the status row any more. WOUND is shown on the health bar too: the health it is keeping a champion from getting back is hatched out. VEIL puts fog over the champion, drifting across the card for as long as your opponent cannot pick them. CLEANSE can be hovered like any other keyword…
- Anachron Coliseum 0.2.8 - 6 September 2026
Anachron Coliseum 0.2.8 This one changes how a turn is played. You now decide before you commit, in the mulligan and on every card that asks you a question. Update before playing online: older builds cannot join a match on the new server. The opening The coin is tossed before the mulligan, so you know whether you are taking the first turn while you are still choosing what to keep. Mulligan picks are a toggle now. Clicking a card marks it, clicking it again puts it back, and CONFIRM exchanges everything you marked at once. Nothing moves until you say so. The walk into the coliseum lands on a bare floor and the arena builds itself in front of you, instead of being finished before you arrive. Playing a card A card that asks you something is no longer played the moment you drag it out. You answer its questions first, see exactly what it is going to do, and can still put it back with ESC, EN…
- Anachron Coliseum 0.2.7 - 4 September 2026
Anachron Coliseum 0.2.7 Balance Sobek's Blade now deals 1 damage and heals 2 health to each of the two allies it picks. It used to deal 2 damage and heal 1. Ironclad Defense gives 2 temporary shields instead of 4. Art El Cid has a third skin, Berserk, painted by Nicolas Revelli. Every skin now names the artist who painted it, on the champion tile, in the full art viewer and on the champion's historical profile. A long handle is drawn smaller instead of being cut off. Quality of life The "champions can still act" reminder at the end of a turn is now a tip, with the same "do not show tips again" tick the play warnings use. One tick silences both, and SETTINGS > INTERFACE > TIPS brings them back. Leaving settings puts you back on the screen you opened it from. Before, the vault, the deck builder, the profile and the rulebook all dropped you at the main menu. Fixes French read "1 dégâts" on…

- Minor fix - 3 September 2026
Just a minor fix, don't mind me :D
- Anachron Coliseum 0.2.4 - 3 September 2026
Rules VEIL and the forced-target effects (TAUNT, FIXATE) can no longer sit on the same champion. Whichever arrives second is dropped, the rest of the card resolves as normal, and the combat log says which half was refused. The arena also warns you before you commit a play that would clash. Royal Plunder is one ability now: it copies the chosen enemy's Shield first, then deals its damage. Hitting a champion holding 2 Shield for 2 damage used to plunder nothing. Drawing never refuses a card any more. An empty deck makes the draw do nothing, and an empty enemy hand only stops the part of the card that wanted those cards. X Marks the Spot still draws and Virgin's Retribution still hits. Clearer cards and text When a card cannot be played, the game now tells you why: DISARM on the champion holding it, an opponent with no cards in hand, or an enemy line that is entirely INVINCIBLE or behind a…
- Update 0.2.3 is live! - 2 September 2026
Decks can be shared now. There are also balance changes to the coin toss and to two cards, and a handful of fixes to things that were getting in the way during a match. Share your decks Every deck in your vault has a SHARE button. It gives you a code you can copy and send to anyone: Discord, a forum post, a message to a friend. IMPORT at the top of the vault takes a code someone sent you and builds their deck in a new slot of your own. Nothing you already have is touched, and the game shows you the deck's name and size before you commit to it. Balance Going second now hands out Temporary Shield based on what each champion is. Support and Strategist champions start with 3, Attackers with 2, and Defenders with none. Losing the coin toss used to be worth a flat 2 on everybody, which mattered least to the champions who needed it most. The Oriflamme over Orleans now strips 2 Shield from ever…
- Minor Hotfix - 1 September 2026
Minor hotfix, don't mind me ;D
- Two new languages, a new emote, and a clearer turn change - 1 September 2026
The game now speaks French and Russian. Pick either in SETTINGS > LANGUAGE, next to English, Italian, Spanish and Chinese. Card text, champion names, status words and voice subtitles are all translated. Blackbeard has an emote at last. "Walk the plank!" is his, and it unlocks at four wins. That makes one for every champion, and if you own them all you carry them all into a match. The turn change is easier to catch now. A banner drops into the middle of the arena, between the two teams, and tells you whose turn it is. Joan's Greyed Out skin is now called Solar Eclipse. Same art, better name.
- Anachron Coliseum 0.2.1 - 1 September 2026
A small update, mostly about hearing more from your champions. Champion voices El Cid has found his voice. He now calls out when he plays a card and when he picks one up, and he has his own lines for Charge, Colada's Dance, Burning Tizona, Living Shield and Rally. One of El Cid's older lines was re-recorded so it sits better with the rest. Sun Tzu speaks up too, when he plays a card and when he picks one up. All the new lines have subtitles. Looks The studio logo on the opening screen is sharp now at any window size.
- Experience the new Anachron Coliseum - 30 August 2026
Build 0.2.0-test.2 · Steam Playtest Anachron has been rebuilt from scratch. Same champions, same cards, same rules you remember, but the game around them is new: there is finally a tutorial, you can play offline against a bot, a dropped connection no longer costs you the match, and the whole thing speaks four languages. Here is what is in your hands. The whole card game is here 5 champions and 60 action cards, with every ability working the way it was meant to. 49 status effects, including a lot of the ones the old version never really told you about. Card text explains itself. Hover any keyword and it tells you what it does, right there on the card, in the mulligan, in the discard pile, anywhere it shows up. Mulligan, Struggle, Extra Action, hand limit, overtime. The full ruleset, not a trimmed version of it. Two modes the game never had before The original dropped you straight into a…
