Every keystroke is a note. Every note hits on the beat. TYPE HYPE turns your keyboard into an instrument in this synthwave rhythm typing game set to a 59-track soundtrack. Features Rhythm gameplay meets touch typing — Notes fall down a highway toward a judgment line. Hit the right key at the right moment for PERFECT, GREAT, or GOOD timing grades. 59 synthwave tracks — A dedicated menu track, 7 long-form infinite-mode tracks, and 51 gameplay tracks. Shuffled each session so the music always feels fresh. Procedural music engine — A built-in synthwave generator layers kick, bass, snare, hi-hat, arpeggios, pads, and lead melody based on your combo multiplier. The better you play, the richer the music sounds. 5 difficulty tiers — NOVICE through EXPERT. Three tuning passes ensure a teaching-oriented curve that rewards muscle memory over reflexes. 37 achievements — From "Complete your first level" to hidden challenges like reaching 100 WPM, a 100-hit combo, or mastering modifier stacks. Painted Neon City menu — A painted cityscape with flying keyboard letters, breathing moon glow, twinkling stars, and drifting clouds sets the mood from the main menu. Set List modifiers — Stack up to 4 modifiers (Speed Surge, Mirror Run, Blackout, No Safety Net) for compounding score multipliers up to 2.24x. Replayability beyond the 69 levels. Per-key accuracy stats — Track which keys trip you up and watch your accuracy improve over time. How It Works Notes fall down a vertical highway, each labeled with a letter. When a note reaches the judgment line at the bottom, press the matching key. Nail the timing for PERFECT hits, build combos to raise your score multiplier up to 4x, and earn 1-3 stars per level. Training levels introduce keys progressively — starting with just F and J, then adding fingers one by one until you command the entire keyboard. Exhibition levels throw all 26 keys at you with painted themed backgrounds like Deep Space, Volcanic Forge, and Aurora Sky.
