  • Changelog Minor update - 2 September 2026

Battles Based on feedback from playtesting, the battle interface has been simplified so you can focus on the decisions that actually matter: how to deploy your army, when to commit special units, and when to pull back. Field battles, naval battles and sieges all now feature a progress bar that tracks the fight in real time, turning every clash into something you can follow and react to as it unfolds. Choose your formation before the fight begins, and decide how many units to hold in reserve or send forward as skirmishers. Pulling a losing army back from a field battle is now more reliable. Terrain and climate now play a real role in the outcome of a battle. A new status line tells you at a glance what your troops are doing: holding the line, advancing, exchanging fire, or locked in melee. After a field battle, a detailed report breaks down losses, casualties and survivors for every brig…

  • Patch Notes - 26 August 2026

Battles Improved battle readability: when your army clashes with an enemy, a dedicated sprite now clearly shows both forces side by side on the map, instead of one hiding the other. Diplomacy Improved diplomatic AI. Fixed peace request spam — factions will no longer flood you with repeated diplomatic requests. Added the ability to cancel a diplomatic request you've sent while it's still pending. Faction flags in the diplomacy tab are now clickable, giving quick access to their diplomatic profile. Scripted events with choices now preview the consequences of accepting or declining (money, territory, religious conversion, etc.). Map Map mode buttons (political, terrain, supply, loyalty, religion...) now show a helpful tooltip on hover. Audio & Graphics Upgraded SFX, music, and graphic assets.

  • Patch Notes - 22 August 2026

This is a patch update and is compatible with existing save games. Interface Armies can now be ordered to embark onto a nearby friendly fleet by right-clicking its sea zone directly. The diplomacy panel now also lists active trade agreements alongside peace treaties. The top information bar has been redesigned. Armies and fleets on the map are now color-coded by relationship to you (yours, allied, or enemy). Besieged cities have a clearer visual indicator. Bug Fixes Fixed Blois Crash.

  • Major Update — Release Note - 20 August 2026

This is a major update and is not compatible with existing save games. You will need to start a new campaign. Victory PathsThe Victory Path system defines the player's campaign objectives. Once the objectives are reached, the campaign ends in victory. A dedicated screen shows your current objectives and progress, including a map of the territories you still need to control. You can also play in Sandbox mode, with no victory objectives. SiegesNow it's possible to assault a fortress after breaching its walls. Assault success is determined by the size of the breach and the number of defenders. Besieged cities can also surrender outright depending on their situation. WeaponsCombat now uses a dedicated weapon system: every unit has its own weapons, and perks affect how a unit performs in battle. Terrain & ClimateA Terrain map as been introduced, showing the terrain type of each region. Seaso…

  • Patch Notes 2026-07-27 - 27 July 2026

Fixes Admiral no longer opens the Recruitment dialog. With an unmanned fleet, clicking the empty Admiral slot incorrectly opened the army Recruitment dialog. The empty slot now behaves correctly based on unit type. Malformed info panels rendered as raw dicts instead of proper rows. Tooltips for besieged province supplies/income and some diplomatic messages (indulgences, subsidy denied) were broken. Fixed across all affected spots. Army feed wasn't counting the captain's supply bonus. Now correctly includes the commander's supply bonus and loot. Seasonal modifiers were being recalculated incorrectly. Wrong seasonal image in the battle dialog, now consistent with the early/late season system. Zeal/money notification wasn't firing correctly in some cases, plus a related minor bug. Missing soundtrack tracks (War Theme, BGM Trombones, Royal Courts & Battlegrounds) restored. Garbage collectio…

  • Caracol - Wars of Religion in the 17th Century — Patch Notes (2026-07-15) - 16 July 2026

New Supply System: Relay Points Introduced Relay Points, intermediate depots that route supplies across your logistics network. Occupying any city is no longer enough to link an army to a warehouse: real strategic chokepoints must now be built, defended, and conquered. The AI has been upgraded to build and make use of Relay Points on its own. Added a welcome message explaining how the new supply system works. Supply status of besieged allied provinces is now shown on the map. Updated the supply network icons on the map. Combat and Units New unit weapons system: every unit now has its own arsenal that affects combat outcomes. Reworked the attack resolution loop, with more precise checks on when an attack actually fires. Added perks to the attack calculation, giving units more distinct battlefield roles. Fixed the melee phase, which now works correctly. Improved kriegsspiel-style tactical…

  • Patch Notes: Hotfix 2026/06/25 - 25 June 2026

Startup crash. Some users experienced crashes when launching a campaign. These crashes occurred on slow or heavily loaded systems and were caused by a delay in the UI initialization conflicting with the game's update loop. A guard has been introduced to fix the issue. Fixed a mismatch between the current turn and the one displayed in the UI. Optimized the cursor cache.
