New gameplay: Stage SelectSome players told us that the current Story Mode can be quite hard to complete all the way through. We recently introduced Fighting Mode for Story Mode to give players a more action-focused way to play, but we wanted combat to feel even more fun, flexible, and replayable.So in this update, we are introducing New Game (Stage Select). Stage Select lets you jump straight into a standalone randomized mission. You can choose a lab map, pick a game mode, and select the weapon you like. Weapon choices are limited based on the selected lab, so earlier labs stay balanced while later labs give you more firepower options.This mode is separate from Story Mode. It does not affect story progress, save data, money, EXP, inventory, route flags, or mission progress. I don't know why some people hate this game just because it has an "A.I content notice". I just wanted to be transparent about some content generated by A.I. But this is still a game that is made by a real human. "Early version of Oleander-X, temporary using the Godot Engine Logo as the characters"I started with the ideas and the story. The story of Ethan was original written by myself. I design the gameplay from the beginning: - An agent's trying to get in a lab of a dark network, collecting evidence and getting out. The final gameplay till now, is nothing different from the early version as you see above. I spent months and weeks to improve it, day by day. Of course, A.I helped me to speed it up. But it was just a support. Even for animation on my game, I tried to design frame by frame, by "Paint". You can imagine how crazy that I designed my characters moves just by the Paint's erase…

Hello, Jason's here. I am the creator of Oleander-X. Recent days, I got some hate comments on some game's channels like Facebook, Youtube and Steam Community Hub. They said this is an A.I slop. I think I should give some words here about it. I know you see this game could be terrible or some bad in UI/Visualize. However, A.I was just a supporting tool during this game development. And, I am very transparent about how I used it. Some artworks on the gameplay to explain the story are generated by A.I with my detailed ideas. I am so sorry if you don't like it, because I am just a solo dev, not good in design/drawing. However, a lot of human work here. Including coding, map design, titlesets, characters are customized, designed by me using Photoshop or even Paint. The audio on the game is also made by me. We’re happy to share that Oleander-X will support Steam Cloud Saves in time for release on June 18.At launch, the game will support both Windows and macOS, and your progress can sync across the two platforms. That means you’ll be able to play on Windows, continue on macOS, or switch back from macOS to Windows without losing your progress.We added this before release to make sure players have a smoother, more convenient experience from day one.
