Somewhere between Slay the Spire and Into the Breach , Cards of the Abyss is a roguelike tactical deckbuilder set in the heart of an ancient Abyss. Awaken in the depths of a forgotten world and descend ever deeper into the Abyss , a gigantic chasm carved out by a vanished civilization. Control a lone hero on a battle grid, dodge enemy attacks and chain card combos to survive... and reveal the secrets of a petrified past . In Cards of the Abyss, cards control your movement as well as your attacks . Positioning, anticipation and sequencing are essential to triumph. Enemies reveal their intentions in advance : it's up to you to adapt your strategy to avoid attacks, interact with objects on the ground, exploit opposing Tactical Zones triggered by movement ... and unleash devastating combos at just the right moment. Each run is divided into three acts (including one available in the Demo), each with its own enemies, bosses, events and rewards. Each act is made up of procedurally generated nodes: Battles Elite Treasures Events with multiple choices Shops Campfires And of course... a Boss!
