Steam Store description

NodeRise is a sci-fi puzzle game that tells the story of a memory-wiped robot struggling to escape a mysterious system. The robot awakens inside an unfamiliar chamber with no memory of who it is, why it was brought there, or what happened before. All it sees are four walls, a platform standing at the center of the room, and a collection of strange nodes scattered across the floor. At first, the numbers displayed on the walls appear meaningless. But the robot soon notices that one of the nodes is unlike the others. This special Source Node generates energy. Once placed correctly, it begins sending beams of energy through the surrounding nodes. By directing those beams, the robot discovers the true meaning of the numbers on the walls. They represent the exact beam length required in each direction. With every correct connection, the remaining values decrease. When every number reaches zero, the beams turn green, and eventually the entire wall becomes energized. When all four walls have been activated, something unexpected happens. The platform at the center of the room begins to glow with a bright green light before slowly rising upward. For the first time, the robot believes that the way out may be above. Each new floor presents larger and more intricate beam networks. As the puzzles become increasingly difficult, the robot evolves alongside them—learning to think faster, reason more efficiently, and solve ever more complex patterns.
