  • PATCH 1.0.6 - 14 September 2026

Hello everyone! A small update with fixes based on player reports. What is fixed Copying a student number from the roster and pasting it in stopped records from being restored. Fixed. The ending text is now larger and easier to read. Various smaller adjustments. As always, please let me know if you spot anything! // shu3

  • PATCH 1.0.5 - 8 September 2026

Hello everyone! I got a Steam Deck, so this one is fixes made on the actual hardware. What is new The student roster now has a filter -- by name, number, club, or issued weapon. Steam Deck on-screen keyboard support. Touching a text field brings up Steam's text entry, and Japanese input works. What is fixed On some monitor aspect ratios, text was distorted in fullscreen. Fixed. Some wording in the records has been tidied up. Various smaller adjustments. As always, please let me know if you spot anything! // shu3

  • PATCH 1.0.4 - 6 September 2026

Hello everyone! This one is mostly fixes for things you reported. Thank you. What is new The record list now remembers how you sorted it (by restore order, by name, by reference count). Loading a save keeps your choice. What is fixed Highlighting a record name in the body text garbled the display and broke the link, so clicking it no longer jumped to that record. Fixed. Fixed places where the records did not line up with each other about when someone was alive or dead. Various smaller adjustments to the display and the controls. As always, please let me know if you spot anything! // shu3

  • PATCH 1.0.3 - 3 September 2026

Hello everyone! You can now make the whole screen bigger. What is new (Monitors of 2560x1440 or larger only) A Display scaling option has been added to the settings. It draws everything at 2x or 3x, keeping the exact proportions so nothing goes blurry. The save screen now lists the autosave slot at the top. You cannot save into it, but you can see what it holds. What is fixed While a dialog such as the settings window was open, clicking a window behind it would bring that window to the front. Fixed. Clicking a record name that contains "??" now drops it into the input field with the "??" selected, so typing or pasting replaces it. Record names are now accepted with full-width digits and letters, and with a Japanese long-vowel mark in place of a hyphen. In windowed mode, choosing a size larger than your monitor left the window hanging off the screen with its bottom edge hidden. It is now…

  • PATCH 1.0.2 - 1 September 2026

Hello everyone! This one is about readability, plus a continuity fix in the records themselves. What is fixed - With Body text size set to Large, the lines sat too close together and were hard to read. Line spacing now scales with the text size. The Standard setting looks exactly as before. - Furukawa's cause of death was hard to make out. Fixed. - The number of rounds left in a gun did not add up across the records. Fixed. (Sorry about that!!!) As always, please let me know if you spot anything!

  • PATCH 1.0.1 - 1 September 2026

Hello everyone! Some of you could not start the game at all. Thank you to everyone who reported it and sent logs and system details -- that is what let me find the cause quickly. What is fixed - The game could close by itself right after starting, on some machines. It now draws to the screen in a way that works on a much wider range of hardware. Nothing about how the game looks has changed. - Opening the credits from the title screen and immediately pressing Enter made the staff roll play twice. Fixed. If you added a launch option Some of you were asked to add --rendering-driver opengl3 as a temporary workaround. You no longer need it. Feel free to remove it, though leaving it in causes no harm. Sorry for the trouble on launch day. Please keep the reports coming. // shu3

  • THE DEATH GAME REPORT IS RELEASED - 1 September 2026

Hello everyone! The game is available right now on Steam. A death game was held on a remote island. Restore the records one by one, work out how every participant died, and submit your report. A mystery you solve on a single, aging terminal. Please note: the game is in Japanese only. This store page is translated, but the game itself has no English text. Found a bug? Please post it in the bug reports thread. Streaming and Let's Plays are welcome. Have fun!
