- ASW allows Desktop Capture to work on the Rift on Windows 7! - 7 October 2016
I just pushed out an update of the Rift Version of Multiscreens ("Launch Multiscreens in Oculus VR Mode") that allows you to capture the entire desktop in Multiscreens in Windows 7 :) (you could already do this for Windows 8+) There will be a little blue icon in the taskbar that is your desktop and you can pull up that window to have full desktop capture :) It is slower than Desktop Capture for Windows 8+ which is why I normally didn't have it as an option, however if you are on a Rift and enable ASW the performance should now be decent enough to be usable. So enjoy! Let me know if there are any bugs you run into. I could also make this work for the Vive, however without ASW it is fairly laggy, so it is up to you all if you would like me to add this or not.
- Update 1.3 - Replaced "Orbit" and "Focus" modes with a seamless mouse movement across windows, and fixed lots of bugs - 8 September 2016
It's finally here! This should fix a ton of bugs people are having. - Removed "Orbit" and "Focus" mode. Instead, now there is a little bar above each window. You can hold left mouse on it to drag it around. You can also scale a window by clicking and dragging in the top left corner, and minimize a window by clicking in the top right corner. There is a little gear icon in the top-right next to the minimize button that lets you change capture rate and change between focus and capture modes for that window. - You can seamlessly move your mouse from one window to another, which is what lets me get rid of "Orbit" and "Focus" modes. If you aren't focused on a window and you move your mouse over it, you can click on that window and it will bring focus to that window - Screens should no longer show up as "white" - now this will remember the state of them and so when they come back up they will…

- Note: Changed from bottom left corner to free your cursor to bottom right corner - 19 August 2016
This was because the bottom left corner is actually fairly useful with the desktop capture (the Windows button), so I wanted to be consistent so I swapped the things. Sorry for any confusion that caused

- Update 1.2 - Full desktop capture is working! - 19 August 2016
Sometimes it is nice to see your entire desktop, for example, for opening programs. There is now a new window that is your entire desktop :) Because this doesn't work for some people (such as some Laptops and people with Windows 7) I autodetect if it works for you at the start and there's a little bar in the menu that should tell you whether or not you have that functionality. If anyone's program is crashing though let me know and I can make a way to manually disable it if that test isn't working for you. I'm told this is the same API that BigScreen and Virtual Desktop use, and after lots of optimization it is running very quickly for me. So enjoy :)

- Update 1.1 - Added lots of things - 19 August 2016
So technically this has been a series of mini updates by user request, but I'll list the changes here for reference: - There is now a 3D mouse sensitivity slider - You can enable Antialiasing and Supersampling at various levels - The entire world should start in front of you now (not behind you or to the side) anymore, and if needed there is now a "reset origin" button. You click it once, then click anywhere while looking forward to set that to your default forward position - Customizable backgrounds. They'res a little hacky for now, but it at least work. What you do is go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Multiscreens\Multiscreens Vive\Multiscreens_Data\background (or Multiscreens Rift) and you'll see 6 textures there - front, back, left, right, top, bottom. You can change these to whatever you want and they will render in Multiscreens :). I included some examples there…

- Release and update 1.0 - 18 August 2016
Multiscreens is officially out! Shortly after release by request I made two updates: 1. Added a mouse sensitivity slider for the 3D mouse 2. Added the option to change the render scale (supersampling) of your headset and to change the level of antialiasing 3. (hopefully) Fixed the issue where sometimes you would start behind or far away from the menu

- Update 0.5 - Orbiting mouse cursor is working!! - 16 August 2016
Blerg steam is being slow... In the meantime, really the natural way to work with windows (even in 3D space) is to use your mouse. Before you had to use an Xbox controller or keybindings, which worked but was pretty awkward. Now you can move windows with your mouse! Specifically you can enter a "mouse control" mode via looking at a button below you for about a second (or by pressing ctrl-~), and this begins capturing anything you do with your mouse so programs no longer see those clicks and such happening. Instead you have a little cursor that you can move similar to a mouse that orbits around the portion of space that you can see. When you left click with this cursor on any window it will focus on that window. When you hold right click on a window you can "drag" it around, then scroll in and out to push it in and out. When you aren't grabbing if you point your cursor at a window you ca…

- Update 0.0: Implemented Capture Mode* - 15 August 2016
I know this isn't out yet, but I figure making progress towards my goals already can't hurt while it's under review. Here's a teaser of capture mode. The * is because ideally I'd like to use the Desktop Capture API and I have that implemented there is just a importing bug when trying to run it on other people's computers that I haven't been able to fix yet. However, until then I found another way to capture anything, including the entire desktop as you can see in that teaser picture. This lets you capture technically any window about as efficiently as you can capture the windows in non-capture mode :) (except the entire desktop capture which is a little slow, so I added the option to disable it if you want). It also works on Windows 7 which is a plus for some of you. My code will autodetect if a window can't be captured with my typical method, in which case it will use capture mode. How…

- Update -1.0, Changed Scale and Background - 15 August 2016
This is still in the review process, but there's already an update XD I changed the background of the room to match the graphic theme of Multiscreens, you can see a teaser here. More importantly, I adjusted the default scale of the screens :). They used to be these massive things, but now they are about the size of a typical computer monitor which makes things seem more real. For example, if you are working in room scale, you can put a few windows on one side of the room and a few other windows on another side of the room and walk between them. You can also resize them and the changed sizes are also remembered upon closing and opening Multiscreens. Right now there is no Vive Controller support, and keyboard support via keybindings exist but in my opinion it's kinda gross, so at the moment using an Xbox controller works best. I've been working a lot on getting you to be able to change fo…
