  Halloween Costumes The Spud Shop has a new COSTUMES tab. Spend your coins to dress your potato up for spooky season: Vampire Fangs (300 coins): two pointy teeth. Bites back. Witch Hat (600 coins): pointy, purple, mildly cursed. Devil Horns (600 coins): a little devil, a big potato. Pumpkin Hat (750 coins): a tiny jack-o'-lantern. It's watching. Mummy Wraps (900 coins): bandaged head to toe. Ancient tuber. Witch's Broom (1,000 coins): strapped on for the ride. Bat Wings (1,200 coins): they flap the whole way up. Decorative. Probably. • Update 1.1: Custom Backgrounds - 4 October 2026

  Custom Backgrounds Swing at your potato in front of any picture you like: your pet, your backyard, a meme, a sunset. Any image, any size. How: Settings → BACKGROUND → CHANGE... → CHOOSE IMAGE... FIT modes: FILL (fills the screen, crops the edges), FIT (whole picture, letterboxed), STRETCH, and TILE. DIM: darkens your picture so the potato, the bat and the numbers stay easy to read. Live preview with the image's real size. 1920x1080 or wider looks sharpest, but anything works. Turn it ON/OFF any time, or REMOVE it to go back to the painted sky. Your picture is copied into the game's own folder, so it keeps working even if you move or delete the original. It stays on your PC and is never uploaded. • Patch 1.0.1: Achievements Now Sync to Steam - 29 September 2026

  Achievements now sync to Steam Thanks for playing Silly Potato on launch day! Some of you noticed the achievement pop-ups were showing in-game but never appearing on your Steam profile. That was our bug, and it's fixed. Achievements now unlock on Steam the moment you earn them. Nothing you earned is lost. Any achievement you already unlocked in-game gets sent to Steam automatically the next time you launch. Just start the game once with Steam online. Also in this build The game now pauses and ignores input while the Steam Overlay is open or the window loses focus, so a controller press meant for the overlay no longer swings the bat behind it. New CONTROLS screen on the main menu with the full mouse, keyboard and controller layout. The update downloads automatically. Now go smack that potato into orbit. - TAH Games
