- Patch 1.1.9 - New confirmation system to buy raw materials + bugfixes - 9 February 2017
We noticed that some of you reported that the buying of raw materials on the reproducer wasn't ideal because you could too easily buy the wrong one. To prevent this, we added a small confirmation system which should help resolve this inconvenience. Now when you press one of the buying buttons, the pressed button icon will blink for 3 seconds and you will have to press the button again to actually buy the material. If you don't press it during the 3 seconds or press another button it will start the procedure again. And this simple system is still allowing to buy quickly by pressing the button 2 times in a row. We hope it will improve your experience! We also fixed a few bugs and descriptions that were wrong. Here is the content of the patch: - Bugfix: the floor height was still problematic in the gearbox maintenance station - Bugfix: If your spaceship was too close to a system (less than…

- Patch 1.1.7 - Oculus 180° tracking support with comfort mode + bugfix - 13 January 2017
Dear community, We just pushed a new update to improve the support of 180° tracking setups. Now you can use the thumbsticks on the Oculus Touch (or the trackpad on the Vive) to turn 90 degrees instantly (usually called "comfort mode"). This new option is activated by default for Oculus users but any player can switch it in the menus. Thanks to wolfox79 for the suggestion! We also fixed a bug with the camshafts. When installing improved versions the drilling was slower when it should have been quickier. Thanks to Inferno for reporting the bug! Have a good game!

- Patch 1.1.6 - Oculus Touch and tutorial big update - 10 January 2017
Dear community, As a result of the many negative feedbacks we have received on Oculus Touch's support, we decided to add a feature that makes it possible to improve the grasping of distant objects on the ground to avoid losses of tracking. This option is activated by default for all Touch users. You only have to look at the object and reach out for it with your hand in its direction. The object will then come to you as if by magic. Vive users will be able to activate the option in the menus if they wish. We want to remind Oculus Rift users that Far Beyond: A space odyssey is a roomscale game that requires at least a 1.5mx2m play area. As stated in Oculus recommendations, for this type of experiment we advocate the use of a third camera in order to have the most enjoyable experience possible. About the tutorial, we also added a system that will allow you to skip the interventions of the…

- Patch 1.1.5 - Oculus Rift + Touch are now supported! - 2 December 2016
Hi everyone, We are happy to announce that Far Beyond: A space odyssey is now compatible with Oculus Rift and supports Oculus Touch controllers! We know that we are a little bit in advance (the official Touch launch is on December 6) but we were eager to share our game with this new community. One more thing, we fixed a bug discovered by Casual_002 when you cannot screw DBEs when you install them separatly. Now the floor is a little lower so that you can easily access the screw. Have a good game!
