• 2020 UPDATE - 26 October 2020

  We are currently working on a new update for the VR version of the game which will bring full touch controllers support for flying. The update should be released on 7th November 2020, stay tuned! :-) (Current VR version can be controlled with gamepad or mapped controllers, PC version can be controlled via keyboard + mouse)

• Adding more drama! - 20 January 2017

  New update brings: Much faster leveling (both experience for ranks and money for buying items). More variability in ships movement (each ship has unique acceleration and top speed characteristics). More variability in combat (guided missiles are now available from rank 0). In-game chat now available in Hangar as well. Better balancing (buff of weapons, nerf of upgrade tool).   Today's update brings VR support for all platforms (Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, OSVR). If you have your headset, put it on and let us know your thoughts from inside the cockpit. :-) To start the game in VR mode instead of regular desktop mode please open your Steam library, select "Space Merchants: Arena" and hit Play. Select your VR from the list (SteamVR=OpenVR - HTC Vive, OSVR, Oculus Rift; OculusVR - Oculus Rift with Rift Audio etc.)

Global and platform arena and shops merged to one arena and shop with all items. More money per kill and bonus collected. Clear indication in battle log who is attacking you. Active callsigns (they are no more just decorative for you ship, they affect skills as well) Let us know your thoughts and enjoy!

  Game features unlocking at ranks: #1 - Callsigns button (symbol you can place on your ship). #2 - Special item slot (hacking tools etc.). #3 - Shield slot. #4 - In-game chat (press Enter and type your message for all players). #5 - Second ship. #6 - Rewards button. #8 - Second weapon slot. #15 - Third ship. #16 - Missiles slot. #20 - Fourth ship. #21 - Second missiles slot.

• Upcoming updates - 7 November 2016

  We are already working on major update to be released before Christmas 2016. In the meantime we will release first minor update with bug fixes and some new features, it should be out on the upcoming weekend! One of the features will be possibility to choose from several skins for your ships: "New skins for upcoming update" video Selected skin will also affect the color of nozzle trail (currently blue), which should make it easier to track down particular enemy. :)
