- IronWolf is now out of Early Access - 12 April 2022
I’m Aaron, the developer of IronWolf. As some of you already know, IronWolf was a project of passion that was started back in 2016 by myself and Phil, my best friend since childhood. Unfortunately Phil died suddenly in late 2020 and I’ve been slowly progressing the project on my own since then. We had completed our original Early Access goals just before Phil passed away, and I’ve been slowly adding improvements to the game ever since. However, I’ve now got to a point where to progress this version of IronWolf further I would have no choice but to pull out and replace a lot of Phil’s original work, which I am not emotionally comfortable with ever doing. So I have made the difficult decision to officially mark the feature developments as complete and take the game out of Early Access. I’m very proud of what IronWolf is right now and believe it to be a truly unique game in the VR space wi…
- Networked Finger Poses for Valve Index - Early Access 1.19.0.0 - 12 October 2021
For this update I've created a new hand system that allows for networked finger poses. The networking is not just using a limited set of gestures, each finger is tracked and networked efficiently so that you can better coordinate with your team mates using a wide variety of hand signals. Don't forget to use the default controller binding in the SteamVR settings for IronWolf if you're having issues with your fingers being tracked.
- Hats, Songs, Improvements & Early Access Statement - 1.18.0.0 - 3 August 2021
An update regarding the state and future plans for early access: Two months before Phil passed away, we massively expanded upon our original early access goals to include multi crew destroyers and multi crew bombers in PvP and PvE. My ability to progress the player Destroyer and multi vehicle gameplay has been frustrating and painfully slow, with very little to show for it after months of painstaking work. This was always an extremely ambitious task for just two developers to undertake and I truly believe we could have done it, but while I thought I could do it alone, I don’t think I can complete it before the heat death of the universe. I’m sorry to say that I will be indefinitely pausing development of the Destroyer, Bomber and Multi Vehicle world, I do however hope to be able to return to those features if I’m ever in a position to assemble the team of people required to complete tha…
- Destroyer Torpedoes and Submarine Lighting Control - Early Access 1.17.4.0 - 12 May 2021
This update includes a new straight running torpedo launch station on both the port and starboard side of the destroyer bridge. Use these slow moving but very powerful torpedoes to quickly dispatch of an enemy ship after you've managed to immobilize them by taking out their engines or powerplant with your main guns. This update also includes a new submarine light control station in the main control room. You can now easily switch between the red and white lighting modes at your choosing or revert to automatic lighting control.
