- Small patch notes for Patch 1.2.0.14762 - 11 October 2022
We fixed some minor issues some of you reported with the last patch, such as: The final achievement did not trigger correctly for everyone. That should now be fixed and update once you restart the game SteamVR launched automatically even if not playing the VR version the invert camera options in the menu were reset to the default value automatically font sizes and colors in some menu areas were updated for better readability on SteamDeck If you find more issues and bugs, please continue to report :)

You might have noticed that Lost Ember is finally playable on the Steam Deck! :) The game had a couple of video issues on the Steam Deck, but we've finally found a way to eliminate those soooo: - Lost Ember is now running on Steam Deck! :LostEmberIcon: - Alongside the development for both Steam Deck and the VR version, a variety of fixes made their way into the new build. Hi Community! We have big news today! We created our own indie publishing label called Mooneye Indies in order to help narrative and wholesome indie games reach the audience they deserve. Way too often the most wonderful little gems fly under the radar even though the community is out there looking for beautiful wholesome games or meaningful narrative experiences. Especially small indie teams struggle with reaching enough people, to make all their blood, sweat and tears worth it when the title finally sees the light of day. We have a brand new patch for you and it's a big one! This last patch really demanded quite a bit more attention than we had planned. But let's get right to it: NEW FEATURE: we implemented a minimalistic game mode that allows you to turn off all ingame commentary of your spirit companion. This way you can fully concentrate on the visuals and figure out what exactly happened all by yourself. This feature can be toggled on and off at any time during the game, so we urge everyone to try it out! The process is usually as follows: Some of you report a bug or request a feature We implement it We test it internally For bigger changes, we test a bit more We release it Now that process can take several days or even weeks while some of you might wait for crucial fixes. So we decided to open up our preview branch! That way we can always upload an untested version of a fix that might allow you to progress to the next chapter without that annoying crash and (if you want to go back to a more stable version) switch back to the released version afterwards. Your savegames are interchangeable and work with both versions. We made a prototype of a plush wombat, but we need to find out if enough people are actually willing to buy before we start ordering because there’s minimum and we’re afraid we might end up sitting on a massive pile of plush wombat :D So we added a poll to the merch store, make sure to fill it out if you would buy a plush wombat when it's ready to be shipped! After publishing the last patch we realized that there was an issue with customizing controls (or rather resetting to default controls) that could lead to broken movement and camera controls. That should now be fixed!

The new year is well underway and of course we've been busy over the last weeks and have a brand new, shiny patch for you! Here's what changed: you can now customize the controls! Since this is a new feature and naturally there are a lot of combinations of keys you can set, there might still be some issues when using special keys. If you find anything like that, please reach out! :) fixed a crash that some of you reported in connection with video drivers fixed the (hopefully) last issues with the achievement system! Hey lovely Lost Emberians! We have a special patch for you! We fixed various minor bugs, some hiccups with credits and Fallen Heroes names and the long awaited memory / achievement bug, but since we also felt a little festive while doing so, we slammed in some hats and ornaments as well. - Collisions and Cameras - Patch 1.0.0.12033 - 26 November 2019
And another small update that fixes some of the most commonly reported bugs! when switching out of another animal, the collision checks are way better to avoid getting stuck or become the wolf where it shouldn't be allowed improved camera clipping issues, especially with the goat fixed a bug that caused memories to be counted as triggered when they weren't fixed a UI bug that showed a higher number of collected mushrooms than there actually are I hope these fixes improve the game for those of you who encountered these issues before! To be honest, ‘you can possess a wombat and force it to do your bidding’ was just about enough to sell me on Lost Ember, but there’s so much more to the experience than marsupial mind control.
