  • This fantastic roguelike RPG is 50% off, so don't miss your chance - 18 February 2024

From Slay the Spire, Wildfrost, and Monster Train to the upcoming Balatro and Breachway, there's no shortage of roguelike deck builders out there. But Griftlands is a slightly different beast. Leaning more into the RPG side of things, it forces you to think about every encounter in greater terms than a simple fight. It's one of the most interesting spins on the format I've played, and a 94% Steam rating shows I'm not alone. With a big discount available right now, there's never been a better chance to find out why it's special. Read the rest of the story... • Griftlands review - 17 June 2021

Games have always been looking for ways to make conversations as compelling as the combat. Why can't a tense negotiation feel as gripping as a tough-as-nails boss fight? That’s the question Griftlands seeks to answer. It makes for a compelling roguelike, thanks to great writing and characters, but doesn't quite live up to the promise of its chatty deck-building systems... Read more.

  • Klei's sci-fi deckbuilder Griftlands has left early access - 2 June 2021

Exploring backwater planets, recruiting pals and making important decisions that could come back to haunt you - I could be talking about Mass Effect, but I promise I'm not (this time). These are the sorts of things you can get up to in Klei Entertainment's Griftlands , which has now left early access. It's a brilliant deckbuilding roguelite that pits you against enemies in battles of the mind (to negotiate tough situations) or battles of the, uh, body (shooty shooty), as you follow the stories of three characters on a dingy sci-fi world. • Griftlands Launch Release Date - June 1st! - 27 May 2021

Hey Grifters, Griftlands launched into Alpha almost two years ago. At that time, Sal was the only playable character, and her story wasn't even complete. We've added two additional player characters, dozens of new npcs and bosses, and hundreds of cards since then, all with the help of our community. I'm very proud of how this game turned out, and I’m very excited to share it with the world! So, without further delay, we are launching Griftlands 1.0 on June 1st. This will bring the conclusion of Smith's story to all players outside of the experimental branch. The game will be fully playable in English and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) with support for more languages coming post-launch. Windows, macOS, and Linux are all supported, and there is a growing mod scene on the Steam Workshop to explore once you’ve gotten through all of the official stories. But that’s not all - we’ve also…
