• Cyberpunk sidescroller The Last Night runs into 'massive legal and funding issues' - 1 January 2019

  Open-world cyberpunk platformer The Last Night has run into "massive business, legal and funding issues" and is looking to raise more money, its creator Tim Soret has said.  It was initially due to be released in 2018, but that was pushed back, and the team also had to cancel a new trailer that they planned to reveal at this year's The Game Awards , Soret said on Twitter. He said he "can't talk about" the issues that his studio Odd Tales ran into, and asked potential investors to get in touch. The Last Night was revealed last year , and Soret promised it'd be a "cinematic adventure game" in the same style as Flashback, the classic 1992 platformer. Late last year the creative mind behind The Last Night Tim Soret put together a behind-the-scenes look at how the E3 trailer at the Xbox Press Conference was put together. We also shared some insights on the road leading up to that big reveal. • The Last Night gets new trailer and the creator apologises for old tweets - 12 June 2017

  The Last Night was revealed at Microsoft’s conference yesterday. It looked great, but that first trailer was focused on showing how the game’s world looked more than how it played. Now there’s a second “gameplay” trailer of sorts which… Mostly focuses on how the world looks, rather than how it plays. It is longer however, and it does give a better sense of how you move through the game’s stunning pixel art cyberpunk spaces. You can watch it below.
