• Original soundtrack now available! - 25 September 2023

  Super Hydorah soundtrack contains all the works of the legendary composer Gryzor87 (Javier García) for this "shoot'em up", inspired by shoot’em up games of the 80s. This is a collection of 77 tracks, which includes all the tracks used in the development, plus additional works and unreleased proofs of concept; a complete musical journey through one of the best "shmups" of recent years. Super Hydorah's music takes us back to the classic roots of science fiction, starting from references such as Ulysses 31, Gradius, Judas Priest or Dream Theater. Gryzor87 adds a modern touch to the traditional style, based on the use of synthesizers, with retro-futuristic style melodies. You can add Super Hydorah soundtrack to your Steam library in high-quality MP3 and FLAC format.

  Hey pilots! Super Hydorah landed on Steam a year ago, can you believe it? Since then, the game has received lots of rave reviews and more importantly the community support, allowing us to bring the game to a wide range of platforms and even Physical format. Maybe, the biggest complaint was how tough the game is. It is true and we listened. In the Delta Lance HQ we never leave our crew behind. That is why today we are happy to share some fresh and good news. A new update for Super Hydorah is out including the following changes: • Full support in Chinese, Russian, Turkish and 6 other languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian & Japanese; • New skill mode for inexperienced pilots - Each pilot counts against the Meroptian army; • Looking better than ever with some welcomed aesthetic changes; • New boss life bar - Empty them all! • Even more refinements here and there We really hop…

  We’re still working to take Super Hydorah to infinite and beyond (or at least to bring it to many users as possible). Next week, an updated version with minor correction bugs and a demo of the game will be published on Steam. Correction bugs list: Screenshots can now be captured in Steam. Fixed a bug that prevented earning more than 9 lives at the end of a stage. Movement speed is now normalized in all directions. Various cosmetic fixes. Also, more platforms to be confirmed are on the way and even the chance of physical releases but also it’s coming to an end the special launch promotion. Next 13th December, Super Hydorah will update its price to 19,99€/$. Meanwhile, tomorrow you’ll be able to grab this challenging shmup for less than 10€/$ on the Black Friday sales!

• Super Hydorah blasts out today - 20 September 2017

  Swell shoot ’em up Hydorah returns today, expanded as Super Hydorah . As bad at shmups as I am, I did enjoy Hydorah’s side-scrolling action and weird locations. The Super version isn’t massively different but it is fleshed out and fancied up, and the 2010 original is free so heck, it’s hard to complain about a 9 price tag. Hydorah is the creation of Locomalito, whose fine freeware Ghosts ‘n’ Goblins-ish platformer Maldita Castilla was similarly revamp-o-rereleased last year . (more…)
