  Quick patch with a couple of quick fixes and an update to the Hardcore achievement. This is now earned by getting all the expert medals, rather than beating the entire game taking only hard exits.CheersCharlie

• Minor Update - 16 June 2026

  Hi,A minor update to Son of Scoregasm. This update sees a fix for the game not booting in Steam's offline mode, which was mostly problematic on Steam Deck.I've also re-enabled memory pooling, which should boost performance significantly on older PCs. As an aside, it's been realy great seeing the scoreboards fill up again! Thanks to all of you who've been playing again, and those of you who bought a copy of the game in bought a copy in the recent Steam Bullet Fest! Much appreciated!Have fun!Charlie

The Deck is a pretty cool piece of hardware and the pick up and play nature of Son of Scoregasm suits it well i think! There is a global leaderboard for multi-level runs, and per-level leaderboards for score attack play.Removed controller config screen because...Sos now uses only SDls Gamepad library.   Hey, I've just push an update to Son of Scoregasm which should hopefully fix a few issues that have been reported, such as: Impostor ship disabled in tutorial rumble now has a scalar rather than being on or off easier to see which characters are selected in name entry screens mouse scaling will default to a higher percentage (it'll move faster!) traps disabled after level is completed to avoid erroneous achievement awarding. more! I've also added an Easy difficulty mode, which you can select in the difficulty menu on the map. In easy mode, enemies are a little slower and shoot less often, however they score half the points of normal mode. Have Fun! Cheers Charlie

• Son of Scoregasm blasts out today - 30 November 2017

  I haven’t played Scoregasm , but I can describe it in one word – and that’s ‘crisp’. Ok, actually I also need to tell you it’s a top down shooter that might not qualify as bullet hell, but at least counts as bullet limbo. Building up combos enhances your weapon and opens up new levels based on which combo targets you go for, but ‘crisp’ is my main takeaway from what I’ve seen. Your brightly coloured foes stand out against the blackness of the void behind them, and every ‘zap’, ‘plink’ and ‘thunk’ sounds just right. Scoregasm’s follow-up, Son of Scoregasm, is out today, and you can soak it all in via the trailer below. (more…)
