- Achievements Added to Trials Rising - 30 April 2025
Greetings Riders, We are pleased to announce that Steam Achievements are now available for Trials Rising! As a heads up, achievements will be retroactively earned for the accomplishments already completed in your game. For the sync to happen you need to launch the game once, and the previously unlocked Ubisoft Connect achievements will be automatically unlocked on Steam. We’ll see you on the leaderboards.

Two great games about patience, mastery, and dying horribly combine in a Trials Rising custom track which races through the world of Elden Ring . Made by a player, the level does a surprisingly good job of capturing a sense of Elden Ring-ness, stunting on your motorbike past the Erdtree and over a castle towards an all-too-familiar ending. I don’t read many biographies, but a few years ago I picked up a book called One River by the anthropologist and botanist Wade Davis. One River is a historical account of the exploration of the Amazon river basin and the story of Davis’ own experience on the river in search of medicinal, and often hallucinogenic plants. There are odd parallels here to Apocalypse Now. Davis’ teacher had gone up the river in the 1930s and briefly joined a so-called “peyote cult” as he pursued long-lost sacred plants of the Aztec, which in my mind is a character clearly played by Brando. Google held another one of their Stadia Connect conferences today, and this one was meant to be all about what games you’ll be playing in the “ scary ” cloud come November. Sure enough, there were new Stadia games aplenty announced this evening, with the biggest addition being Cyberpunk 2077 . Even as a kid, I always had a fascination with death. It s manifested in a number of different ways over the years. From learning various mythologies to get a grasp on their take on the afterlife, to reading mystery novels that taught me hundreds of impractical ways to nearly get away with murder, most of my hobbies involved death in some form. So, it’s not shocking that a lot of my enjoyment of RedLynx’s Trials series comes from its dark sense of humor in the same direction, taken to new heights in Trials Rising . Even when successful, levels end with the rider dying in a ridiculous way that takes advantage of the title s ragdoll physics. Across its various incarnations, the Trials franchise has always been about putting obstacles in your path and seeing how well you can overcome them (with the help of an over-revved dirtbike). The latest and rather magnificent instalment Trials Rising continues this fine tradition but adds a globetrotting twist, casting players as a cross between Barry Sheene and Phileas Fogg by tasking them with riding fairly roughshod over some famous international landmarks. But when you first fire up the game, there is another big speed bump in the way: two bikes incarcerated behind a paywall. It's that rare Trials hurdle that cannot be overcome by some improvised combination of throttle-feathering, mid-air rotation and a cheeky bunny-hop.
