- Thanks for the Memories! - 24 May 2024
Hi Martians! We’ve been on an incredible journey since we launched back in early 2020, thanks to you, our incredible community. However, after 4 years, we have taken the difficult decision to sunset Memories of Mars, closing down online multiplayer servers on June 25th, 2024. In addition, Memories of Mars will no longer be available for purchase on all platforms, effective immediately. Players who have purchased the game on or after April 24th, 2024 will be eligible for a refund. More information can be found here: https://505.games/MOMSunset For some of you this news may not be a huge surprise, but we also understand for those still playing, this won’t be the update you wanted to hear. We want to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you for your support over the years. It means more than you know! Take care, The Memories of Mars team

We are trying to figure out how this happened and will give you guys an update as soon as we know what's up. We will also give everyone who lost progress a generous gift package as compensation to help get you back on track. That will be handed out later this week. Thank you and very sorry this happened. The Dev Team

Hello Martians! We are pushing a small hotfix/patch live. Changes are as follows: - Fix for the server crash pestering the live servers the whole weekend - Fix for most if not all private server crashes. If we missed any, please let us know and we will take care of them for the next patch. If you are confused by the many error messages on server start: those are expected and can be ignored. - MEMORIES OF MARS Rolling Out v1.0 Content Ahead of Multi-Platform Release - 5 March 2020
Hello Martians! Here is the changelog for the major patch we will push live during the day. Currently we plan on having the servers back up around 13:00 to 14:00 UTC, but due to the gigantic amount of code changes (more than 3000 changes since the last patch) we can't 100% guarantee it yet. We started early by shutting down the existing servers already and get a head-start to mitigate all potential issues. We will keep you updated on the progress during the day. But for now, have the highlights of the patch with the full changelog further below. Keep in mind that this is mainly a polishing patch to get the game ready to leave Early Access and secure the console release, not a patch to introduce large amounts of new content. We have more content in the works for future patches, though ;) Highlights: - Most importantly: Adjusted night-time brightness ;) - Full controller support for the e…
- End of Early Access and the start of something new! - 27 February 2020
Hello Martians, It has been a long time since our last communication, we acknowledge the radio silence and lack of updates since the new year. We have been working hard on a couple big items… but we couldn’t share the news with you until now. Around one year ago we started preparations to bring Mars onto additional gaming platforms and around six months ago we reassigned a big chunk of our developers to the task of porting the game to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. But there was a clear directive to keep working on PC in parallel and make sure that all versions of Memories of Mars share the same code and feature-set. As a result of this direction the PC version benefited from a constant flow of optimizations, Quality of Life improvements and new features required or intended for the console version release. We even have full controller support for PC players now! We've come a long way, so…

The PC version is of course still being worked on and we plan on releasing a new major patch in a couple of weeks. What it will contain, as well as more information about the console ports will be shared in a bigger announcement next week. Please stay tuned! What we can share today is some information about the big re-balancing that will be part of the next patch: - We have re-designed the current enemy variations, as well as added new tiers to them. - Enemy variations will have more unique behaviour and a clear distribution in the world to fit more with the expected difficulty level of each region. - Enemy tiers are now fully colour-coded: - Tutorial/Earliest game…

- Upcoming Season 8 Features - 8 November 2019
Hi Martians, On this second post about the upcoming Season 8 featuring a new Mars there is a very relevant point: to make sure the implementation of all the content is smooth we will require a little extra time, therefore we are postponing the change of season to the 19th of November. We thank you in advance for your patience and would like to take this opportunity to share some additional information on the upgrades that you’ll experience on Season 8.
