- Raft 1.1: Cross-play sails to the default branch! - 10 March 2026
Hey Rafters!Since we released Raft on Xbox Series X/S and Playstation 5 last year there has been a Beta Branch here on Steam that enables cross-play, letting Rafters who chose to opt in play with their friends who might play on Xbox or Playstation. See, when we built the support for cross play into the PC version, quite a bit of code and systems had to be overhauled and rewritten, and we knew there could be a few issues that arose once we launched. This is why we let it sit on its own branch on Steam, so that players who wanted to try cross-play could choose to do so, knowing there might be a bug here and there. During the time since it landed on the beta branch, and thanks to everyone who has played and supplied us with logs and bug reports, we have updated the cross-play version to where it is now in a state where we feel comfortable moving it over to the default branch. Hey Rafters!As some of you know, we have a Beta branch for the PC version of Raft here on Steam which, among some other quality of life changes, lets you cross-play together with rafters on PlayStation and/or Xbox. - Raft Juicer recipes and how to craft it - 15 August 2025
If you're playing this open-water survival game, you need to make sure you get a Raft Juicer. Why? Because it greatly quenches your thirst, it gives you an anti-thirst bonus, and it's a fun way to display your fruit collection. If you manage to get your hands on the Spicy Pineberry or Redbeet Shot recipes, you can even get a swimming speed bonus or health bonus respectively. The basics are simple: place up to four types of fruit on the Raft Juicer table, and press 'start cooking' to create a drink. When the drink is done (this takes a few seconds), equip a Drinking Glass and fill it up. Of course, make sure the Juicer has a battery, but beware: don't use random fruit.
