Advanced team commands were recently added, so the next mod contest will be to make a teamwork-oriented challenge.The challenge should require the player to either switch control to different teammates, or to use the new team commands to accomplish an objective.The easiest way to require teamwork is with puzzles, like Lost Vikings for the SNES, making one teammate stand on a pressure plate, etc. You could also make it combat-oriented, but make sure it's not doable with just a single character. Finally removed all those redundant model files in the DLCs and translations, saving almost 400mb total. Finished advanced team commands in time for the Brigand anniversary (tomorrow). Thanks to Taberone for the suggestion -- it was pretty simple to implement. Since you can now command your teammates to attack, respect will decrease whenever anyone on the team attacks friendly factions, not just the current player.Here's a list of the new team commands, accessed with the ALT key by default: Direct Control, Move to Target, Follow Leader, Hold Position, Attack Target, Get Item, Cancel Orders.Rekindled Ghouls must now be facing you to use their Voodoo attacks, as per Taberone's other request. This required a new script boolean (if_facingTarget). Also fixed some minor bugs with other commands (see below).There's a new option to disable the on-screen keyboard. - New Team Commands in Test Branch - 6 July 2026
Got advanced team commands working on the test branch, such as "Move To", "Attack", "Hold Position", etc. You can also command individual teammates instead of the entire team. It still needs a lot more testing, so it won't be patched to main branch until next weekend for the anniversary.If you want to help playtest, right-click Brigand in Steam, open game properties, and go to the "Game Versions and Betas" tab. There is now a "Quicksave only" option for editor mode in the launcher, which disables F1+F2 editors, but still lets you quicksave with F3. Also clarified the framerate options in the launcher, and made the "smooth" framerate the 2nd option. Thanks to Hoodlumdan for pointing out the confusing launcher options. Added an option to turn off the welcome message telling you to disable anti-virus. It will get re-enabled when you change the editor or language settings, because all languages now have a translated welcome message.Changed the username on the sewers terminal to clear up confusion with a password hint (there were two terminals with the same username). All the translated stories are now hidden from the story list, and they are run automatically based on the language chosen in the launcher. All the unused languages have been removed from the launcher and now there is only English, Chinese, Russian, and Spanish. You can still set the charset to any language by editing the INI file (Japanese, Arabic, Korean, etc.). I'll put the other languages back into the launcher if they ever get a translation. The game will now remember the most recent story when you launch it, and it will load the main menu accordingly. You can now use the Eleggua's Curse ability to curse coconuts for bonus cold damage when thrown (don't eat them). Updated the spell's description to say it can be used on throwing items. I am terrible at designing puzzles in games, so I mostly stick to word games and riddles. The next mod contest will be to make a short story with one or more puzzles of any type (riddles, pushing blocks, Sam & Max Gator Golf, etc.). Puzzle design is what impresses me the most about games because I'm so bad at it.First-place prize is $70 and the deadline is May 18th (Monday 6 weeks from now). Runner-ups will get Steam keys (at least, maybe also money).

Widow Demons now drop Demon Eggs when killed, you can now use Demon Eggs to produce Blue Juice with the Cook Meat ability, and Demon Eggs now show a voodoo animation when thrown.
