• Version 1.1 Release Notes - 14 March 2021

  - Updated engine version. - Fixed an issue where "Cruel and Unusual" difficulty would not unlock. - Fixed an issue where the "When Mowers Collide" achievement had incorrect requirements. - Fixed an issue where campaign completion achievements would not unlock. If you were affected by this issue, you will need to complete any level with any number of stars to unlock the achievements. - Some particle effects have had minor adjustments to work correctly with the updated engine. - Lighting shader falloff is now clamped to a valid range. This fixes lighting artifacts with the most notable being episode 2, level 13.

  Good evening, mowing maniacs! It has now been over three years since Law Mower was published on Steam! We've all since upgraded to lawn tractors around here, and Law Mower has largely been forgotten about in the shed. When you have an old mower with dried-out oil and rusted blades, you know nobody will pay for it, so it is time to let it go. That's right, we are going to start giving away our Law Mowers for free! Expect Law Mower to be completely free, no strings attached, this February. Just in time for mowing season.

• Trim grass and dodge missiles in Law Mower s demo - 30 July 2017

  At first I thought Law Mower was going to be a nice little game about keeping your garden tidy (the Steam description talks about you mowing “every blade of grass in the world”). Nope. I’ve just played the demo, and I got turned to a pulp when I ran over an exploding gopher. If I’d watch the new trailer first then I would’ve had a better idea: you’re a man with a mower, and you have to run over dogs, avoid missiles (mowing is serious business) and run over other people trying to peek over the garden fence. There’s a single player campaign that frames the madness, and online multiplayer too it’s all out on 8th August. (more…)

  The best lawn mower I've ever owned was an old Lawn Boy 21" commercial, which was basically a 427 Hemi stuck on top of four wheels and an adamantium blade. Its window-shaking roar frightened small children, and its complete lack of safety features frightened me; it could also cut down small trees with almost no effort if I tipped it up and took a good run at them. I miss it terribly.    My tale isn't exactly relevant to Law Mower , a retro-styled action game set for release on August 10, but reading about it did immediately make me think of that glorious old machine.
