• Project Xandata: End of The Line - 2 November 2022

  Xandats, attention! I know, it’s a terrible day for rain, isn’t it? I’m sure you’ve seen the announcement. If you haven’t, then to put it simply, Project Xandata will be ceasing active development as of today. While you can still hop in and play the game until May of 2023, no more new updates and events will be coming. Just as Halloween has ended, fret not as we have one last treat for you. We’ll be implementing a new in-game currency that you can use to purchase store items. This new currency, called Dark Shards, can be gained simply by playing the game and completing matches, with wins giving you more shards. You can check out more ways to get these shards down below.   Dear Xandats, The past years have been momentous, thanks to your enthusiasm and overwhelming support. You all contributed to our small but lively community, helping us make Project Xandata a better game. Project Xandata has evolved from a simple game concept that turned into a massive endeavor as the first major undertaking of Secret 6 in developing an original title. From only a handful of people in 2015, our team grew to over 60 talents who set out to create the first multiplayer FPS game made in the Philippines. We have reached remarkable and humbling milestones such as our first debut at ESGS 2016, the awards we received from Level Up KL 2017 and Game Connection San Francisco 2018, our early access launch last March, and the release of Early Access Season 1 made fruitful by your support.   What’s up, Xandats! 👋 Two months in EA S01 and we are always grateful for your support! We got your feedback from the launch of our first dev log, and we’re so glad you are enjoying these mini updates. This time, we wanna tell you about a feature we introduced last July that many of you may have had the pleasure of shooting – the bots!!! The bots, also called the Alliance of Nation Recruits, are AI-controlled players that you can fight in matches, alongside actual human-controlled players. Before this feature was released, we struggled with long queue times. Plus, new players found themselves matching against experienced Xandats, and essentially got pulverized seconds after they spawn. Sooo yeah, that’s frustrating. The bots helped ensure that you always have matches to join and enemies to fight against.
